It took me a good 3 hours of roaming the halls. I run at selling stuff like I run at the table. I really hate trying to peddle them.

No year on the lammers though, so maybe they'll be good next year too.

Thought they changed them every year?

Different colors each year I believe. If you get stuck with some, I suppose it's possible you might be able to hold onto them for a few years until your color comes back in play, lol.

Thx
Yeah, casual players are much more considerate than the blood-sucking 2+2ers itt trying to rake their fellow poker players. You people should concentrate more on winning it at the goddamn tables, and not figuring out ways to angle a couple bucks off your peers.

This year is yellow. I can't remember last year's color. The year before was pink, I think?

You can sell them at face value easily. Just ask people that are going in to register and they will buy them. Tell them that you will walk up to window with them and wait if they are worried.

Yea, Allen would rather buy them at a discount instead. I'd pretty much ignore everything he says, huge conflict if interest

^...agree.

Allen needs to drop the chip-on-the-shoulder bad attitude & minority know-it-all comments............

I was inline today w/ a seller & buyer of lammers at the main cage....this is common, reasonable, and TOTALLY expected by the tourny's staff. Happens everyday.

It depends on who the staff is. I've been SCREAMED at by a suit. I've been chased off by security near registration multiple times. I've had security follow me around for 10 minutes when they've seen me trying to sell. And I've also asked a security guy if they were told to stop lammer sales, and he said no and it didn't matter to him.

Just like with almost everything at CET, they can't get their act straight with this issue.

Yeah, Chainsaw is not lying, per se, because I have seen transactions get stopped, but I've also seen deals go through no prob even with security nearby.

Also, I'm not aware of anyone being 86'd due to trying to sell lammers, so the worst "issue with rio security" is that you get yelled at and your deal gets stopped.

It's a bit of a crapshoot, but I do not advocate selling at a discount to avoid it.

I've never understood why it seems to be an issue with some of the security staff. Wouldn't a healthy lammer exchange actually benefit the WSOP? Seems like they'd get even more people playing satellites if they helped facilitate deals.

Or is it somehow a gaming commission issue?

If they got involved with assisting in converting lammers to cash they'd have to start withholding taxes.

It's because it makes too much sense. The more satellites that get played, the more juice that gets raked. Doesn't matter wrt the player that actually uses the lammers, rake is same with cash or lammers. If someone at the WSOP actually gave it some thought and created a policy it might make sense. As I said, I talked to a security guard that said they've never been issued official instructions to stop lammer sales. It's just some of the suits, that actually know nothing about poker judging by the ways I've been yelled at, that are causing all the crap.

They don't have to assist or whatever, just keep their noses out of it. Nobody in corporate legal thinks the taxation angle is a problem or CET would have a formal policy.

They have to get involved. There could be fakes or lammers from prior years for sale.

If you have time u might be able to sale at full price one or two at a time.
Or approach any known pro who is playing many events or Big One for one drop they will buy all of them with a little discount.
