First year at this property. I predict this will be one of the biggest WSOPC events of all time. Interesting that the big signature re-entry event is $580 instead of the usual $365

6 flights for the $580 and they are only guaranteeing $500k?

That was my thinking also haha. Talk about being conservative. Than guarantee will be demolished

Glad to see they went with the traditional Fri/Sat schedule for the Main Event instead of Sat/Sun. Should definitely boost attendance.

Agreed about the conservative guarantees, including the ME.

But... just looked at the calendar and the weekend of the ME is the Jewish holiday Yom Kippur. Hard to say ho much this will hurt attendance, but it will definitely limit it to some extent compared to what the field would be on some other weekend.

Not sure how the aftermath of Irma will affect turnouts, but from what I gather the area wasn't hit too badly by the storm (at least nothing like what was feared), and travel should be back to normal well before next week. Still, I'd be surprised if it was one of the biggest wsopc stops of all time based on the massive turnouts Choctaw and Cherokee have consistently been putting up for 5+ years (Hammond too). Obviously it will be huge, and will be interesting to compare to those venues' figures once it's over.

This will actually be my first time traveling to SHR so I'm really looking forward to it. Any inside scoop on meal comps, or any general tips?
