Yes it is the first time. Players were asking for it now y'all PLO players need to attend because if the numbers are low there will be no more.

I like the idea of Monday, October 30th being "satellite day". Good, fun way to have some interesting action on what would otherwise be a slow Monday.

Why did the $365 re-entry guarantee drop to $500,000 after consistently increasing each and every year above $1 million. I thought we were going to see a $1.5 million guarantee.

Also interesting to see no $1 million guarantee on the $1675 main event either.

And seemingly only one other ring event has a guarantee, which is slightly disappointing since many on the circuit this year seemed to have guarantees in place for all events. I realize many of these Choctaw events will likely do well anyway, but still.


When will the structure sheets go up and will there be room discounts?

I'm assuming there gurentee is 500k because the monster stack is right before it with multiple flights this time

The $365 re-entry lowered the guarantee on final payouts due to the fact that each flight will payout about 10 percent of the field under the new wsopc payout schedule for multi-flight tourneys thus decreasing the prize pool at the end of the tourney. I sent a text to casino management about the lack of guarantees and am waiting for an answer. But we know Choctaw doesn't need guarantees to have huge fields.

Ah, interesting. Thanks for that, Bigtex. You are the man with all your Choctaw help and information. They really need to toss you a bone or two as a consultant for all your help on here.

As far as the main event not having a guarantee we all know Choctaw will draw huge fields but this being a first Wsopc in the fall I'm sure they want to test the waters before guaranteeing an new major tourney. So look for more guarantees in the January Wsopc event. My guess on the room discount code is WSOPC17 but I haven't heard when it will go into effect. My guess on that probably a couple of weeks. Structure sheets will be out in a few days as the TD is still busy with the WPT at Choctaw now.

Just a lurker that reads occasionally but I've known Bigtex21 (Bob Talbot) for 10+ years and he has helped people for 7-8 years on 2+2 answering questions about tournaments. He is 86'd from 2+2 but he is having his 4th heart surgery in the last 3 years Monday so and I hope this is ok and not against 2+2 rules I would like for y'all to go to his Facebook page (Bob Talbot the one from Hernando) and send him prayers for this surgery as he will need all the run good he can get. The meds he has been on for the last couple of weeks and until the surgery has him feeling bad and has his mind not thinking clearly and evidently something he posted got him 86'd from here. Shoot he didn't even get to the Horseshoe Tunica 10 miles from his house to visit with friends during their current RunGood Series and this is unusual. Thanks PS: local players at Choctaw are gonna have to pick up the slack to provide tourney info since he can't.

Don't know details but just saw on Facebook that he is out of surgery and did ok. Thanks for the prayers as 250-300 people sent prayers.

Planning on being at Choctaw for the Oct/Nov event. Haven't done anything since January and miss seeing old friends and making new ones.
