I will definitely be attending the opening weekend in Biloxi on 9/8, but I am not sure which venue to play. I typically play at the Beau over IP for tournament series but I can see merit in playing either one. The Beau has a $250k guarantee 25k starting stack and the IP has a $200k guarantee 20k starting stack. Structure seems good at both. Which are you choosing and why?

I will be attending and I will be playing the IP during the week and the Beau on the opening weekend. I think the fields will be (slightly) tougher at the IP and have a few more circuit grinder types interested in ring counts verses a slightly more local field at the beau for the opening weekend as most locals to the area will chose the beau over IP for brand loyalty as the Beau is the most popular room on the coast.

The Beau skips 4 of the WSOP levels in the first 10 levels. But, the Beau goes to 45 minute levels at level 11 vs. level 19 for WSOP. The levels skipped are 25/50, 25/100/200, 250/500, and 500/1000.

The WSOP is clearly the best structure but the fields will be maybe a bit tougher.

I feel like these links should be on here.

Expect lots of PLO and NL Holdem cash game action. Big weekends the wait lists get 100 people deep on cash games and 100 people deep on alternates in tournaments. Get on a cash game early if you plan on playing at all.

I am heading to the Beau Rivage for the opening weekend. Feels like the fields will be slightly softer compared to a WSOP circuit event. IP is starting on a Thursday which makes me thing not many casual players will take off work to play in. Beau also has a bigger guarantee + stacking stack to kick things off while having some 1.5 hour breaks to help ease the bladder. Although after double checking it does seem like there is a couple of 3 hour periods of no breaks which seems excessive. Beau is a no brainer imo.
