Apparently there was like 8 hours of footage from Freddy Got Fingered that TG had to trim to 3 or whatever silly length the final cut was. That movie was way too long.

I hate The Green Mile with passion.

The story is bad, acting is pretty bad but worst of all, the movie is about the south ~1950 whatever, prison, death row and it just fails to bring in anything controversial. It's a movie that doesn't annoy anyone, tries to make you feel good and evil gets punished. In that setting, it's very naive and somehow laughable to think how it goes. Also, every character in the movie is shallow. I guess I'm just too cynical for nice adult fairy tales.

Down With Love

IMDB: Aaaah... it's New York City in 1962, and love is blooming between a journalist and a feminist advice author, who's falling head over heels despite her beau's playboy lifestyle.

Kill it with fire. I recommend watching this, no movie has made ever se angry.

Bull Durham- This is a second rate chick flick disguised as a third rate sports movie.

Costner's mini-monologue makes me want to stab knives into my ears, but the biggest flaw is in casting a guy (Robbins) who throws like a girl to be the pitcher with the wicked fastball. WTF?!?!?!? I thought it was standard operating procedure to bring in consultants and to have the actors train or practice skills they are to be acting out. How was there noone on the set to say to the director "This **** just is NOT believable"

Oh this is great:

Maybe ten years ago or so (whenever that crap movie came out), I permitted my then-girlfriend to choose the movie we went to see on her birthday. I guess you figured out that it was Down With Love.

Now, one thing you forgot to mention is that it is a MUSICAL, and it is supposed to be all snarky and clever, right? Holy crap.

The entire time I was in that movie theater, I was tangibly angry, and I could not make it stop. Put as plainly as possible, I would rather we had been there to see a Harry Potter film or even a Tyler Perry movie.

The Fifth Element is a bad movie. Bad dialog. Bad directing. Flaws in the story. And I liked it. Not sure why. It just has a feel. A flow that I liked. Everyone I have seen it with, hated it. Sometimes I have a hard time pinning down why I like something. I would watch it again right now.

And if you left half way through....you missed where the story gets worse and the movie falls apart. You hated the best part of the movie. Good timing on the leave.

There was a "bad movies you liked" thread wasn't there?

lol...I love The Fifth Element. It's supposed to be exactly what it is. The director admitted he wrote most of it when he was a child.

I'm not defending it as some kind of masterpiece or anything, but if you think The Fifth Element takes itself seriously, I don't think you were paying attention.

I started to nod off and looked at the clock thinking the movie must be ready to start winding down, and we were only twenty minutes in. Longest night of my life. Good pick.

Not within 5 posts, but I will say that I enjoyed the hell out of it when it came out. Could be because I was in the target market of 15 year old idiot boy. And the soundtrack kicked ass. I refuse to rewatch it as an adult though for fear that it's just as terrible as that abortion you describe.

Most hated movie? How would you know? Don't you know how to walk out?

How about a thread for "Your Most Hated Thread of All Time" -- this one would be competitive there.

+1 to Sideways.

I heard people say this was really funny so I dragged a friend of mine to go see it also. I felt bad. I was literally in mind-numbing pain the entire movie.

Wedding Crashers

People went crazy for this ****. Ate it up. I saw a possibly funny premise that ended when after 20 minutes they stopped crashing weddings. There were Vince Vaughn's forehead sized dead space holes in between mediocre attempts at jokes.

When Moore was picking on poor Charleston Heston at the end of Bowling for Columbine, I wanted to kill that smug fat bastard. He really is a reprehensible phony.

And Sideways rocks, you people are crazy.

I loooove Michael Moore. Yes, he is smarmy, and smug, and overbearing, and patronizing. But we liberals should be allowed to have ONE of those. You conservatives have a whole news network full of them.

Lots of liberals hate Michael Moore. False dichotomy to the nth.

He does a disservice to his cause.

Reducing any work of art to a theme proves dangerous. Besides, we don't know what happens after the film ends.

I think Rushmore gives a cash prize of $50 to anyone who denigrates Boondock Saints. Talk about riding a HobbyHorse...

The real winners knew enough to never watch it in the first place.

Throw in anything by the god damn Wayans brothers!

They drag the good name of parody through the mud with all of there increasingly bad films. It's not even a parody, Disaster Movie should have been named "Two hours of pop culture references"

"Hey look it's an incredibly fake Hanna Montanna! haha! Look now she's getting HIT by something hahaha it's funny because you know who she is!"

UUGHH

I liked it as a homage to the old Hollywood films of the '50s. Besides, the set design is fantastic.

He took advantage of a senile old man. Bad move. Of course, Heston didn't acquit himself well either by showing up as an NRA shill, but you could make the defense that he was used by the NRA as well.

Yes, the fact that it won best picture is where the hate comes from. Same reason a lot of the movies itt are movies that a lot of people generally like. No one's going to come in here and post "ZOMG Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants 2 is the worst movie evar!!!" bc what would be the point of that? Why would your most hated movie of all time be a movie that no one cares about?
