I think the hardest decision for me was taking The Apartment over Spartacus. I vacillated quite a bit before finally coming to a decision. However, it's one where I could change my mind tomorrow or next week.

Interesting. I had the same thought. And in making my final choice for each year, I sometimes had to leave off a film that at one time would have been one of my all-time favorites, but not so much these days.
Kelly's Heroes is one that falls into that category for me. I must have seen it at least 50 times over the years and decades, but I don't think that I'd want to sit through it again these days. I'm close to reaching that point with
When Harry Met Sally as well, and came close to choosing either
Crimes & Misdemeanors or
The Fabulous Baker Boys for 1989 instead.
