Here's another case from the so-called Satanic Panic era, that of Charlotte Thrailkill & Daryl Ball. Thrailkill is still incarcerated today despite serving her full sentence. She's incarcerated today due to California's dangerous sexual predator laws where one can be detained indefinitely even after serving their sentence, if still regarded as at risk to the public, which Thrailkilll evidently is.
So why is Thrailkill still detained today? Does the Satanic Panic extend to 2019?Or was she convicted based on the evidence & still regarded as dangerous today due to her qualifying as a dangerous sexual predator?
