Honest question: What era do you consider late career Floyd?

Post-Barrett? Post-Waters?

would momentairly say the reasoning behind a final line dividing their bell curve is murky

I like all Pink Floyd, but early has a special place in my heart. Umma Gumma was the goto dope smoking album when I was a Freshman in college. I didn't do it that much but if I did Umma Gumma was usually spinning.

Got ya...anything post Wall fell flat upon my ears.

Saw them live in Boston on the Animals/Wish You Were Here tour in '77 and The Wall's Uniondale stop in '80 - epic live shows.

I don't like Sinatra either, but assume that it is my damaged hearing that makes his stuff sound monotonous.

Listen to In the Wee Small Hours and tell me Sinatra isn't great. Then listen to Dylan's Time Out of Mind. You'll be ready to tear your heart out.

The only thing I don't like about Sinatra was his idiotic way of adding to or messing with the lyrics. Cole Porter walked out on him for changing a lyric in one of his songs.

But I guess this thread is about artists you don't get, not you think are overrated.

I don't get Casavettes.

My grandmother had a Sinatra concert on VHS, and during "I Get a Kick Out of You," when he sang the title line, he did a little kick. She went crazy every time. For her, it was like Elvis shaking his hips.

No, I definitely think Sinatra is tremendously overrated.
