My favorite moment by far is Albert giving the speech about violence, quoted earlier in the thread and now again for posterity:
Albert: While I will admit to a certain cynicism, the fact is I am a naysayer and hatchetman in the fight against violence. I pride myself on taking a punch and I'll gladly take another because I choose to live my life in the company of Gandhi and King. My concerns are global. I reject absolutely pride, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method is love. I love you Sheriff Truman.
[Albert leaves]
Cooper: Albert's path is a strange and difficult one.
That exchange alone puts it into the top 5 shows ever as far as I'm concerned.

The Gold Box set has fantastic extras. Everything from promos and Japanese coffee commercials (which are all quite good, the latter telling a somewhat silly story of another missing girl with the Black Lodge involved) to the actual 1-900 number audio messages from back in the day*, to SNL skits, to info on the real-life locations, to pictures taken on set by Richard Beymer (Ben Horne), to really solid discussions with Lynch and crew and a long documentary on the making-of.
Also, it looks like we will be getting it on Blu-Ray soon. The question is what will we get? I am betting that it will be the show and movie, plus more special features, PLUS the long sought-after deleted scenes from the movie (possibly re-edited into it), some of which take place AFTER the events of the series and might shed some light on things. This guy is teasing the announcement:

I also would not write off the possibility of there being a continuation of the story at some point. MacLachlan this year supposedly said he was interested in doing short webisodes.
So what do you guys think? Is Cooper trapped forever?
*For those of you too young or not in the U.S. who don't know what 900 numbers are: In the late 80's through early 90's these were huge. There were constant commercials asking you to call "1-900-xxx-xxxx", $1.99 the first minute, $0.99 each additional minute (or whatever). They had them for everything you could imagine. The Twin Peaks line was a recording with weekly recaps, read by Lucy and Andy in character. Many other shows had something similar, and they even had random things like a "Two Coreys" line where you could listen to Cory Haim and Corey Feldman be dreamy together. All in all it was a pretty predatory practice and obviously was geared towards getting kids to call without asking their parents first (of course they told you to get permission, but...). Totally a relic of the early 90's.
