I liked Justified as well.....surprising to find a 5 season series that I had never heard of. Thought the characters were engaging and lots of plot twists. Very watchable and satisfying wind up.

Just finished season one of Treadstone which is a precursor to the Bourne series on Prime video. Well cast and lots of action. Enjoyed it

I agree that Justified starts off meh and picks up nicely but overall I don't think it is that great. Too much ridiculousness for me. Binge-worthy? Yes. A great show? No imo.

season 2 of justified is right there with any season of any show.
the only thing that's untouchable is band of brothers.

Cheer, on Netflix.

My gf an I are 20 minutes into the first episode, and this might be the greatest docu-series ever made.

3 episodes into Cheer and I am completely invested in these damn kids. Especially Morgan and Jerry.

Just now getting around to the last season of Game of Thrones. Jesus, too many zombies imo. It's like they're forgetting what made things interesting in the first place. Probably peaked around season 5 or 6, somewhere in there. Maybe even earlier.

Peaked season one. An almost perfect season of television. It was all downhill from there.

new gambling movie just hit theatres
IMDB gave it an 8.0 rating out of 10 - about as high as I've ever seen them give

IMDB doesn't give ratings, its from votes from hundreds or thousands of people(and some bots). There are like 200 movies with more than 8.0 rating.

It may have just hit theaters where you live, but fwiw, the movie was released last month on Christmas Day in most US markets.

My wife and I saw it back then and we both thought it was excellent.

You'll also be able to watch it on Netflix in about a week.

Are you sure? to US?

No idea about the US. I assumed it would be everywhere since it has the Netflix Original symbol on the thumbnail, but maybe Netflix only has international distribution rights for this one. If you can't watch the preview on there right now, then I would say probably not.

Some info here. Grunched it and looks like Netflix tweeted it was coming and then deleted it. At some point its coming but not sure when. I might have missed something important tho.

I'm gonna try The Outsider next, seems like it's worth a try.

So this final season GoT almost lost me with that ep3 but ep4 redeemed it somewhat. And then the 2nd half of ep5 and ep6 almost lost me again! Eh I guess mistakes were made, overall I'm still pro GoT, monumental achievement in a lot of ways. Still preferred the first 4 books in some ways, til the tv show insisted upon itself and legit supplanted it with some GRRM help.
