Hmm. Episode one was not funny enough to be a good comedy, and not dramatic enough to be a decent drama.

I assume it gets better?

we found Sex Ed to be quite entertaining, somewhat reminds me of the John Hughes movies from the 80s.

Asa Butterfield is a more than capable actor (as shown in Endor's Game), Gillian Anderson is smoking hot, i predict Emma Mackey to be a rapidly rising star, and Ncuti Gatwa steals the series.

in my opinion it's more than well worth a watch.

Any decent new comedy recommendations? Started A.P. Bio last night, which seemed alright to have on in the background.

AP Bio is like IASIP lite, but I enjoy it. Glenn Howerton just kills it.

I really liked After Life, but it's quite dark, and almost more drama than comedy. That said, there's a lot of very funny moments in there, and it's only 6 30min episodes. But if you don't like Ricky Gervais, then don't even bother.

Hm, I quit on this early like you. I guess I could try again. I'm very open-minded ofc, always willing to look at things in a fresh way. I do like that main girl, from way back to Down and Out in Beverly Hills. She's unique.

I'm liking this Catastrophe show on Amazon, I think I quit on it once before but it's taking now. Smart and good-spirited. This main lady Sharon Horgan seems to really have the goods, creating and writing this show and other shows too. The guy is good too I guess, co-writer and co-creator, but seems a little clunky at times at the acting.

The new Twilight Zone series seems pretty good:

I haven't watched the 2 episodes yet, I do have CBS All access on a trial now. The reviews are totally 100% awesome or 100% sucks.

Yeah, reviews are all over the place. I only saw the first episode and really liked it.

We watched the first episode of Hanna a while back when it was released. I was sort of meh on it but it was good enough to give it another look when the other episodes got released. We are into 4 or 5 now and I would rate it better than meh. Lots of eye-rolling situations but I don't think this sort of premise would be able to avoid that. The action is good and overall it is decent entertainment.

I was going to say that the woman playing the villain is great, but I'm still not exactly sure who the villain is yet.

Sex Ed was great. Part 2 of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina just dropped, so far so good.

Just finished binging through both seasons, it was far better than I expected. Nicely paced, solid storyline and Batemans dead-pan delivery really suited his character. Looking forward to season 3.

I've watched the entire season of Hanna and quite enjoyed it. I like Joel Kinnaman. He was in Altered Carbon, which I also enjoyed.

Just finished watching the entire season of The Umbrella Academy and Titans. Wasn't sure if i'd like either of them but, was pleasantly surprised. I think I enjoyed Titans more so but, there both worth a watch IMO.

There's a spin-off from Titans called Doom Patrol. Have heard good things about it so, that's the next TV series i'm about to start watching.

I'm shocked that there's a season 2. I thought it ended like a mini series or something where there's a definite ending.

Black Summer https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8923854/

During a zombie outbreak, a mother loses her daughter and has to team up with a group of strangers and make her way to a stadium, where she hopes to find her kid and get evacuated out of the black zone.
This could have been better if they'd thrown more money at it, instead it's just a tepid, low budget, generic zombie show.
The only episode that stood out for me was the last one where the group converge on the stadium alongside other survivor groups.
Very unsatisfying final scene.

Billions, season 4, episode 3 was terrific. Featured songs were "Atlantic City" and "Baker Street" along with a nod to Chinatown: "Forget it, Bill. It's Chickentown." I enjoy the allusions.

Just finished watching episode 2 of the final season of GOT and OMG, sooo good! The only bad thing is having to wait another week before the next episode drops.

Was going to start watching the first season of Doom patrol but, instead started watching The Handmaid's tale, as I was yet to see it and had it recommended to me.
Am 5 episodes into the first season and am not sure how I feel about it. There are aspects of it that I like but, overall I just haven't found it to leave me feeling like it's a 'must watch' and am only watching it sporadically.
I was told the 2nd season isn't as good as the first so, am currently torn as to whether I should continue with it.

I've been watching and enjoying Fosse/Verdon on FX. Rockwell and Williams are killing it. It's kind of disjointed and hops around a lot with flash back/forward but really well done and entertaining.

It's on Tuesday night (I think? I dvr it) So far 3 episodes in and knowing your taste I am sure you would love it. Probably on demand if you have FX or maybe an FX website?. The opening scene of the series when they are shooting "Hey Big Spender" for Sweet Charity just sucked me in and wouldn't let go. I find it to be really well done. I also find myself looking up youtube clips of Cabaret, Damn Yankees, Sweet Charity etc.
