On one hand, Season 2 of Legion was awesome and we definitely need more quality shows like this It is artsy, stylistic, original. On the other hand, its dreamy-scattered-fantasy-like narrative is hard to follow at times and makes the show less engaging Still really looking forward to season 3 though

Maniac was pretty meh imo. It started off quite intriguing, and seemed like it had a lot of potential, but by about ep4 I could see it was headed in a direction that was just not very interesting. It also had a very weird tone to it - like one moment you're watching this super serious show, and then in the next scene it feels like you're watching a Will Ferrell movie, and it didn't really work for me on either level.

I quit on Norm Macdonald Has a Show after 3 episodes. What a shambles. It was pretty clear that no preparation went into making this show, and Norm has this terrible habit of asking a question and then not even letting the guest answer before talking over the top of them. Then at the end of each episode, they read out some of the worst "jokes" I've ever heard and sing a stupid song. And his sidekick is flat out awful. Just total cringe all around.

Gomorra is great. I've only seen the first season, but anybody who is into the mafia genre and doesn't mind subtitles will love this. Best show I've seen in a while.

Maniac was pretty trippy but yeah ultimately meh. I too thought the first few episodes were intriguing but they lost me later on only to draw me back in a bit but those later episodes were tough to stick with.

I like Norm but I quit on that quick too. That is just a brutally bad show and a real waste of Norms talent.

First Men and The Looming Tower, both on Hulu, are quite good.

I'm through 5 episodes of The First and it is my favorite show of the year. Absolutely unique and beautiful and adult. Definite recommend. And episode 5 completely slayed me.

Figure now is a good time to start watching A Handmaid's Tale. Very good, but Jesus, very ****ing grim.

I finished The First, on Hulu, and it was absolutely incredible. Season 1 is 8 episodes.

I also just set up my new LG 4K 65" TV. It's nice.

lol I don't know, but the picture is incredible...the TV was so cheap, I had to jump on it. It was an Amazon deal.

I just got it today, so I'm still exploring everything it does. It's a smart TV. One thing it does that's really cool, is that I can get to Netflix, Amazon video, and Hulu without having to switch inputs. It's all through one remote.

Yes, Netflix, Prime and Hulu all have 4k content. Also search Youtube for 4k and there is some amazing nature/outdoor type video content.

For example. Load up Youtube on TV and search for "FLYING OVER NORWAY (4K UHD)"
Pretty awesome.

Itunes is also 4k in most cases but movie rentals are generally $1 less on youtube. You'll likely need an Apple TV for Itunes or airplay from a computer to your TV.

I got my first Smart TV this year and I agree they are very cool.

anyone have any opinions of Roku vs. Sling? My GF wants to get rid of cable/satellite but still wants to watch MSNBC and a few other live stations.

I've gotten her a firestick, so she has access to Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu.

Finally watching The Handmaid's Tale, and it's scary as **** because it really doesn't seem like an alternate universe these days.

I love The Handmaid's Tale and looking forward to season 3

I have been watching season 1 of Dark Net which explores the effects of modern technology on society ; it is fine, nothing great and I would not recommend it anyone not into Cyber Security, online privacy and the likes, but if you are, than yeah, worth a watch.

Handmaid's Tale extremely good but too upsetting for me. Bailed out after five episodes.

I was hyped for the upcoming The Witcher, but then I saw the first look at Henry Cavill as Geralt and I guess Netflix made him a glam-rock elf? Not sure if I'm still on board.

I have seen most of Maniac, and I just finished the third season of Billions, which I like, especially for the analogies and references to the likes of George Clinton.
