Banshee is awesome! I was looking at that list, I need to watch Narcos, not sure why I've waited on that. I'm not even gonna start Altered Carbon. Season 1 of Hannibal is a show I never thought I'd like but was instantly converted.

Yeah, I honestly think for pure entertainment value Banshee is a top 5 all-time show for me. I can't think of another show in the last few years I looked more forward to watching the next episode.

This will probably convince me to try it again, thanks.

Narcos: not a show I recommend for binging. I enjoyed it a lot but burned out by the end of s2. Far better to watch it over a long time imo.

Hannibal has some of the best visuals I've ever seen and s2 is one the best seasons of TV I have watched.

I find Narcos to be pretty overrated. I tried watching s1 twice and stopped.

Ozark was ok but its a worse Breaking Bad.

Another +1 for Banshee. That show had so many great characters and it was a blast to watch.

The good news is that you’ve watched almost every bad episode in the series.

I recently watched a series on Netflix called Dark. It's in German with kinda bad English dubs. It takes place in a small German town near a nuclear power plant. Children are disappearing and there's a series of caves on the outskirts of town that are the portentous basis of the show. It's a very Twin Peaksish or Stranger Thingsesque show. I enjoyed it.

Superb Netflix Original Documentary about the incredible and bizarre 'pizza bomber heist' in Eire PA in 2003.
A man walks into a bank with a home made cane gun and a bomb strapped to his neck and demands money. After being cornered by the cops the bomb detonates and kills him.
This was the first act in a decade long saga that leads the FBI to a string of truly weird and colourful chatracters all of whom have their own story to tell.
Fascinating case that has a truly sad ending.

Bizarrely fascinating story, but the documentary could have been a lot better I thought. No sense of place, jumped back and forth between suspects in a confusing way, and too many recorded phone calls with nothing but text on the screen as visuals. I don't know the filmmakers or what else they have done, but this could probably have been incredible in the right hands.

Best episode was the first one simply because it focused on the crime itself which was the most interesting part. Once it gets bogged down in the investigation, and starts involving the filmmaker himself as a character, it loses steam imo.

Anyone watching The Staircase? It’s pretty good.

I recently finished Season 1 of Goliath on Amazon Prime, with Billy Bob Thorton. .... I enjoyed it, and S2 is out this week so I will give that a shot. The show isn't really good, but I enjoyed the characters enough to get into it.

Justified is excellent--the pilot is, imo, one of the better television pilots out there. ... I never got into Twin Peaks but obviously it's iconic. Sneaky Pete, I just downloaded ep 1-4, so nice to see it show up here.

I'm digging how Amazon lets you DL stuff and watch offline.

Yeah same here, I'll be watching s2 tomorrow even knowing that about half of it will probably be ludicrous. But any excuse to watch Billy Bob I'll take, nobody else like him anywhere.

Enjoyed Sneaky Pete s1. It wasn't the best TV I've ever watched, but it was entertaining enough and the last few episodes were pretty strong.

Nevertheless, I'm not sure that I'm going to watch s2.

I had similar feelings about Sneaky Pete s1 and didn't even start season 2 largely due to a lack of Cranston.

Just finished Season 1 of Ozark. Fantastic. I believe Season 2 recently finished filming (I haven't seen any casting calls for extras in a while, which is why I make that assumption).

Very dark and tense, one of those shows where the protagonist is doing bad things, but you root for him.

Finished season 2 of Goliath. Loved the first, but I'm not sure about the second. Some neat Hitchcock allusions. Mark Duplass is really quite good as a wholly unlikeable, weird character, and I'm a fan of Billy Bob Thornton. I'm not sure I would recommend it to many though.

I've just finished binging seasons 1 + 2 of The Killing (US version).https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1637727/

This is a good remake of the original Danish show and whilst it lacks in atmosphere it certainly maintains the high level of drama portrayed in the original.
It's been a long time since I watched the Danish show, which I saw on a weekly basis as it was aired, so it felt fresh and new and the many twists were still good, jaw-dropping moments. It's a solid remake, well worth taking the time to watch if you are into crime dramas.

I'm 2 episodes into season 3, I hope it lives up to the standards of 1 + 2.

I liked it. You're going to be hard pressed to find something with Billy Bob in it that I don't like though. I agree with you on Duplass. Loved his character.

I'm on the last season of Homeland now. Looking forward to it being over so I can watch the Vietnam doc on Netflix next. Missed it on PBS.

Just finished season 2 of Goliath. I enjoyed it much more than season 1. Don't really remember much about season 1 though honestly but I know I liked this better. Pretty dark with lots of twists and turns and lots of moving parts.
