I noticed Trailer Park Boys was available on Netflix instant stream so I figured I'd give it a try. Ended up watching the entire series in about a week. One of the funniest shows I've ever watched. I definitely recommend giving it a shot if you have Netflix.
I watched the first episode of the new series of Top Gear last night (it's about 3 weeks old now)... I haven't laughed so hard in ages, when Jeremy Clarkson went out onto the roads of Britain in this:
You guys with Cinemax should check out Banshee. I watched the first 6 episodes last weekend and it is extremely entertaining. Very graphic with the sex and violence.
Its about a recent ex-con who goes to the town of Banshee in Pennsylvania Dutch country to find his old flame/crime partner. He assumes the identity of the new sherriff. The town has nazis, hillbillys, bikers, Amish (including an Amish crime boss and Amish slut), a twentysomething mayor, lots of hot and often naked women and a disgruntled deputy and police staff.
It is delirously over the top with tons of great action and graphic sex and violence. Pure entertainment!
Has anyone seen Enlightenment? The one episode I caught seemed liked a comedy directed and written by Terence Malick.
I have been watching it since the beginning and I like it a lot. Laura Dern plays crazy extremely well and the Mike White character (he is also creator I think) is just about perfect.
I watched Netflix's House of Cards and thought it was very well done. Kevin Spacey is mesmerizing. I figure that's the equivalent of a tv show these days. 13 episodes waiting there for you.
I still haven't watched Game of Thrones S2 through yet, I'm a slacker. For some reason I've been watching old episodes of Jeeves and Wooster instead.
I'll also be watching Charlie Brooker's Black Mirror S2 in preference to GoT too. Did you yanks get the first season of Black Mirror (there was only 3 in that run). Like someone took The Twilight Zone and decided to make in extremely cynical, and hold up a mirror to modern society.
