Recently watched and mostly enjoyed: Mr Robot, The killing, Sense8 and Narcos.

Dislike SOA, Walking Dead and Dexter (after a couple seasons).

oh ya black mirror is awesome and I don't like horror much at all so don't let that classification turn you off.

I don't really think of it as horror it's much more sci fi imo.

SG Universe? Really?

Ok the 1st season was decent enough (and even then, I'm being nice), but the second was just garbage. Add to that it's little more than a wannabe Battlestar Galactica with the most flimsy and basic Stargate framework, it doesn't end up being good as either a BSG knock off or a stargate series.

I'd say give it a miss.

Great list. All 5 are great. Boardwalk has ups and downs. Worth watching but Breaking Bad > GoT >> Wire > Sopranos >> Boardwalk as those top four are on another level.

Where does House rank for people? I think it has a chance of cracking my top 5, which is impressive given that it's a procedural. Maybe like:

EEEEhhhh house, nobody likes a arrogant wiseass and too much of the same imo off-course.

But too answer the question:
1. Blindspot[ok pretty good potential, so far, only can't stand that afro-american boss annoys the hell out of me, what a irritating face and bad actrice]
2. NCIS[the one and only good one imo, almost a golden oldie, but still miss ziva, biggest loss ever lol]
3. Ray donovan[love this show and ray as the grump brilliant] finished for now unfortunately
4. Scorpion[but decided too stop, going downhill?, or just not funny enough?, too much annoying?, anyway no more]
5.Sleeper cell US from 2005-2006 [not brilliant but i liked it].
6. Boston legal[brilliant spader and shatner for the fourth time, just keeps making me laugh, can't help it, have all the season on my hd for 7,8 years now]

And i think dexter is not mentioned enough, but i got too admit not seen nearly all pages, but i think it is one of the all time top 5, and always deserves too be mentioned imo, also seen multiple times and am sure in the future will see again.

Dexter S1 is definitely in my top 5 seasons. S2-4 were generally good. I liked S5 more than most, but the rest were bad.

WRT House - maybe it was the bad 15m of Code Black that I watched last night that reminded me how much I liked it.

American Horror Story S1,2,3.

Pretty good horror stories, well written but fairly standard stuff.
Great performances by Jessica Lange in all 3 seasons, and Kathy Bates
plays a great sadistic plantation owner in S3.

13 eps per season made it feel a bit padded at times, but still worth a watch. 7/10

To each their own, I guess, as we don't agree on 1 single point : the second season was better, progressing into something epic had the show not been cancelled... And while I liked SG1 and Atlantis (decent for a campy show), SGU brought it to a whole new realm...

Not even going to get into the BSG comparison with you : outside of both being metaphysical space shows and character driven, all other components were nothing alike : camera, pace, music, tone etc.

Anyhow, can't believe I forgot to suggest House of Cards, which is top notch quality.

Anyone watch Dr. Ken? I'm tempted to give it a go just based on it's atrocious reviews.

Danish original version of the Killing or Forbridelsen is great.

I like AHS much more than Walking Dead. I think because it has a campy, self-deprecating tone to it.

I liked House but it would never get in my top 5. I rank House a little below Nip/Tuck.

Maybe I don't watch enough TV. I can only think of Boardwalk which has fallen out and Hannibal which I need to catch up on that would belong in the top 5.

House of Cards, Homeland, & Dexter had high highs, but were too inconsistent. Couldn't get into Game of Thrones. I think reading the books before kinda ruined the TV series.

Band of Brothers and Luck were both phenomenal but only 1 season long so I don't count them.

Trying to think of others I would put in there...

Gonna recommend Daredevil based on the fact that you liked Sense8.

Just started Quantico but to be honest, just wanted to see the hot chick But it's a nice mystery that I'm looking forward to seeing solved.

Six Feet Under season 1.

I'm really enjoying it. It is exactly the kind of show I've been wanting to watch for a while now.

This show is hilarious. Not many people (or at least that I talk to) have seen it or even heard of it.


I saw an episode of "You're the worst" the other day and then proceeded to binge watch all the episodes because I thought it was so good. Really funny and there is something about "Gretchen" that gets my balls tingly. The chubby girl has some nice boobs too.

I've a big fan of You're the Worst. One of the writers posts in the ootv thread.

I've gotten one person to watch all of BoJack Horseman, one person to start (didn't get far enough to continue but I bet he'll go back), and one person to go back and finish what he'd started. I'm continuing to spread the word.

I've only seen the first season so far because I like to savor things, and because there's a Christmas episode and I only watch Christmas specials from Thanksgiving evening to Christmas, so I'm blocked.

I have it somewhere around my #2 show ever after Seinfeld.
