Currently in the process of introducing the girl to my favorite sitcom: Frasier. We are doing a complete rewatch, up to Season 2.

Bob's Burgers is a work of genius, nothing less. Homeland is off to a red hot start and is also tremendous. Boardwalk Empire I've now given up on.

And I'm thinking that Louie is now overrated. That 3-part Late Show thing, ugh.

Boardwalk Empire and Homeland are both fantastic.

Of the new shows I've seen:

Last Resort - sucks
Revolution - sucks
Nashville - pretty good

There are rumors that Hayden Panettierre's character in Nashville is based on Taylor Swift.

I'd never bother to watch a trashy show like that, of course. I'm high brow all the way, baby.

I watch way too much TV but through the magic of the dvr I have sampled all the new programs this fall. Easily the worst batch of shows ever! Only a few keepers and a few I'm still on the fence with. But any of he keepers could be easily dropped quickly.

Keepers
The Mindy Project
The Neighbors
Vegas

On the fence
Ben and Kate
Nashville
Elementary
Go On

Everything else already dropped. The 2 shows I was most looking forward to (Revolution and Last Resort) actually turned out to be 2 of the most ridiculously bad shows I have ever seen.

The new season of Homeland has in my opinion elevated it to the best current TV show eclipsing Madmen. This show is the perfect thrill ride and exceptionally entertaining.

Vegas didn't sustain my interest past the premier

Hey all,

Looking for shows that the gf and I can watch together. We're pretty standard guy / girl as far as TV taste goes.

Shows I like: Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, LOST

Shows she likes: Downtown Abbey, The Tudors, <insert other silly shows>

Thoughts on what to watch together? We've started Sherlock (UK) but only have Season 2 left (it's 3 1.5h episodes/season)...

Spartacus seems like a perfect fit for you both.
Battlestar Galactica

I don't have many "must watch" shows now. Lost ruined just about every show for me.

2 shows I'm currently watching/will watch.

Haven(really like this show for some strange reason)
American Horror Story(can't wait for season 2 to premiere)

Does it mean I'm smarter than Dom since I spelled it correctly?

Claiming to be smarter than Dom would be damning yourself with faint praise.

I don't understand what that means so I'll just pretend you said yes.

I don't understand anything you guys are talking about, but since it's about me, I'll just assume it's good.

I am more the inspirational type of speller. I work on hunches rather than mere facts, and the result is sometimes open to criticism by purists.

I just watch a rerun of that Frasier episode where they start The Happy Brothers restaurant. Hilarious. Magnificent.

Does anyone watch Him & Her (uk)?

Very odd but somewhat magnificent.

Reality shows, dramas, and very few comedies. Except for that NatGeo show on Underground Poker.

I've also taken to watching reruns from some of the older shows like Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea, Lost In Space, and Mission Impossible.

Don't sleep on Bob's Burgers. It and Homeland are the only 2 shows I stay caught up on these days.

I've been watching a lot of BBC America. Graham Norton Show is hilarious. I also like all the Gordan Ramsey shows. Tried watching The Hour, but it hasn't grabbed me.

I figured anything that gets Dom to gush with praise whenever it's mentioned must be worth watching, so I finally checked out Justified.

It's amazing! Timothy Olyphant is great. Kentucky reminds me too much of home...

I don't mind the episodic nature of the show, but I'm eager to get to the epic serial storyline I hear picks up in second season.
