Anyone watching The Jinx on HBO? It's a documentary miniseries about Robert Durst.

durst is certainly an entertaining character and his jailhouse interviews were hilarious.

What do you guys think of The Borgias?

I liked Borgia, the other one with the Wire guy instead of Irons.

Speaking of The Wire, I just started rewatching it. I'm 3 episodes into season 1, and I appreciate it a lot more knowing everybody and what's going on. Very cool.

Thought the kick the can ep of Togetherness was weakest so far. Was that one of those throwaway everyone get their breath and save money eps like the fly episode of breaking bad? it ended decently strong, though.

Hooked on Bosch, gonna finish binging that.

Also finished season 1 of Six Feet Under. Loved it, and i'm looking forward to the rest.

On the horizon - Mad Men or Justified?

Justified...but both are great..just so different from one another

And I enjoyed this episode of Togetherness...but it was the weakest.

there's actually a trend - i'm a lot more likely to watch shows set in SoCal

Justified isn't set in California, but it's very obviously shot in the Santa Clarita area. So, it's kind of fun to watch for the more overtly noticeable stuff.

Man, Togetherness was pretty tense there at the end. Great season, looking forward to more next year.

Tina Fey's new show on netflix is ridiculous.
its called 'unbreakable kimmy schmidt' . The main character is erin from the office.she is a rescued cult member that was trapped in a bunker and now lives in new york with an 8th grade education and only knowledge of that time period of stuff...ya know when stuff was " fresh ". She moves in with a flaming flamboyant big black dude who is a struggling actor.their landlord is the mom from 80s flick license to drive with the two Corey's. Hillarity ensues.

Last week I watched the first two episodes of Black Mirror and loved them. The second episode was incredible. It really takes advantage of the kind of things you can do better on the screen than on paper.

Warmshowercoldbeer, you should go to the OOTV section. There is a thread for that as well

I have been watching American network executives look for a new evening news superstar. It's been.... interesting. How can the broadcast media get it so wrong?

the fact that they're trying just means they don't get it. The UK has it right - call them "news readers", not journalists. And stop paying people so much money to read the ****ing news.

I just finished the first season of Black Mirror. Wow! Fantastic science fiction anthology (although the first episode need not be considered science fiction). All three episodes were gripping and interesting. The second episode was phenomenal. One of the strengths of the show is how it sort of shows a bad side of some piece of technology, but it does it by focusing on one or two characters and it does it without much dialogue. It really makes us of visual imagery to get its points across. The second episode keeps going directions I wasn't expecting. It was brilliant. I saw it over a week ago, but I'm still excited about it. I liked that episode more than essentially any movie I saw in the last year (although, I haven't watched too many movies since the birth of my daughter).

Bloodline is very good, but it builds very slowly. Way too slowly. It's on the Netflix.

Can't say enough good things about Black Mirror. Speculative, cerebral sci-fi in the style of Twilight Zone, with a focus on modern technology and social media.
