Bored and looking for something to watch I very reluctantly clicked on the new series on Netflix Wednesday. Wow! I am 2 episodes in and loving it. The best thing I have seen on Netflix in quite a while. Didn't figure this would really be my thing but I reiterate WOW. I watched The Adamms Family on TV when I was a kid but it never really resonated with me other than being quirky and weird. Never watched the movie(s?) as I had no real interest. But I am finding this series very captivating so far. Then again I am and have been drinking

Really? I found that a bit of a slog to get through tbh. Jenna Ortega was great tho.

Finished it off yesterday and thouroughly enjoyed the whole thing. Not sure why but it just hit me as extemely engaging. The girl that played Wednesday was exceptionally good. Never really been a Burton fan or like I said and Addams Family fan but I am really hoping for a season 2.

So do I, but I have never developed a cult following.

And I really regret letting my friend watch an episode of Goop. It's screwing up my algorithm on Netflix.

I watched all of Penny Dreadful recently. I’ve always been into vampires werewolves etc

It’s extremely good, as good as any tv show I’ve watched in the last couple years.

I've been watching this over and over on loop...

Oliver Nelson's wonderful score for The Six Million Dollar Man.

Just finished the second season of Slow Horses. Gary Oldman is great as a disgraced MI5 reject in charge of a bunch of equally disgraced MI5 agents. Of course, Oldman is the smartest guy in the room and the biggest smart ass in the room. Kristen Scott Thomas makes for an excellent foil.

Is second season all in now? I enjoyed first season then started watching second but only got 2 episodes in before there were no more waiting for it to all be there. This weekly release crap on streaming services totally defeats the purpose of streaming. If I can't binge it I aint watching especially on something like Apple tv which has very little content to begin with. I can't seem to find any indication if a season is all there yet or not which really annoys me to no end.

Go to imdb and click on "episode guide" and it will tell you the date of all the episodes.

Slow Horses finished s2 on December 30.

I'd rather binge a show, too. I guess we can't quite stand the week delay, so we watch six episodes in a row.

But it does make me wonder why I have trouble starting a film like Satantango because it's too long.

I finished Slow Horses season 2 yesterday and it was very good. But ... but at 6 episodes it was basically a long movie and with each episode ending on a subsatncuial cliffhanger releasing (or watching) a show like that weekly does nothing but diminish interest in it.

I heard a report on the business channel a couple of weeks ago talking about streaming pretty much confirming my thoughts that stated that dropping seasons all at once versus weekly is more popular (and profitabe) with audiences.

The Bernie Madoff docu-series on Netflix was pretty great. Such an astounding story.

It's odd how I'd been unknowingly culturally co-existing with this Slow Horses show and suddenly in the last week I'm getting bombarded with everybody loving it to death. Probably moot though, because of how much I ****ing hate Apple and everything Apple stands for. Maybe I'll watch it on dvd when that happens.

I really liked Fleishman is in Trouble, not perfect but still very good.

I mean I'm not sure a TV show could hit my wheelhouse any harder than Slow Horses. British Spy show with a great actor out in front

It's very good

Someone turned us on to Flight of the Conchords. I had never heard of it. Pretty hilarious. We love it.
