beth makes the show, just keep tabs on her

I really enjoyed it, until..

Spoiler:
the friggin cliff hanger ending that wrapped up nothing imo, I feel like I just got LOSTed (referring to the old show Lost because it was just one big fuggin teaser from commercial break to commercial break from episode to episode from season to season--I finally wised up and bailed)

Just finished Outer Range as well. Completely agree with the comparison to Lost. It just didn't work for me. Won't be watching another season if there is one.

I'm again recommending Made For Love. We are midway through the second season. They didn't miss a beat from the first year. Really creative and funny. Very entertaining.

It's really good. Love the black and white clips from Les Vampires.

I was wondering if those were actual clips from it or not...

Thou Shalt Not Kill, a well-made Italian police procedural, centered in Turin and presenting a very different view of Italy from the usual southern Italy seen on US tv.
Tatort Berlin, an edgy police procedural, set in Berlin, particularly the episode titled: META

How many eps is it? Think only 4 are out. I generally wait to binge it.

I'm enjoying Blackbird, but it is not on the tier of something like Fargo or True Detective. And the character of Larry Hall, the serial killer, is sympathetic - he just seems mentally ill and incapable of knowing or understanding what he did. Unless that changes in future episodes, of course.

Only four so far. Apple only seems to release one episode per week.

Yeah, almost crazy that you can have sympathy for a serial killer.

I loved Irma Vep on HBO. Olivier Assayas has been one of my favorite directors over the years, and the series forced me to go back and watch the film once again.

In addition to Irma Vep, Personnel Shopper, The Clouds of Sils Maria, and Summer Hours are great films.

Its not until ep. 4 of Black Bird that that acting and the tension go up a level.

Personal Shopper with Kristen Stewart is a guilty pleasure of mine. I like it more than most viewers. BTW I just saw Kristen Stewart in a decent deep underwater survival sci fi film called Underwater (2020) (fubo maxgo others). Monsters in the Mariana Trench

7 episodes into The Offer...so damn good. Binge-worthy. Mathew Goode is channeling Robert Evans. It's amazing.

Absolutely. Especially for anyone who's a fan of GF1. (And who isn't?)

There was, and is, so much gossip and BS about The Godfather, I'm surprised they were able to limit it to 10 episodes.

A couple of months ago I got a free year of Apple TV and looking for recs. That Blackbird looks interesting but I won't start until the whole season is in because I am a binger.

So far I have seen Ted Lasso (loved it), The Morning Show (started strong but seemed to get a little worse each epsode), Severance (weird but intriguing and I DESPISED the cliffhanger ending), Shining Girls (hard to follow, all over the place with multiple time lines and very strange but I kept watching so there is that), Prehistoric Planet (meh), Greyhound (solid WWII flick).

So is there anything else that is really worth it. Quality seems higher than other streamers but not a lot of content. I can't imagine paying for this unless they get a lot more content.

How much content can you expect for less than $1/week?

As for suggestions of what to watch, I second biggerboat's recommendation of CODA. Excellent movie. I would also add The Tragedy of MacBeth, with Denzel Washington in the titular role and Frances McDormand as Lady MacBeth.
