Was it as good as S1 in your opinion?

Watched the first season of Ted Lasso this weekend and enjoyed it very much...although I'm a little confused why such a feel-good, harmless little show is getting such universal acclaim, like it's Breaking Bad, or something.

I have been rewatching “I Claudius”, and am still as astonished by it as I was forty years ago.

Haven't seen it in forever but if I'm not mistaken both Jean-Luc Picard and Rumpole of the Bailey make guest appearances.

Caligula eating his sisters baby from her uterus is a scene that shocked me.

I'm so spoiled by modern production quality, I'm finding it hard to watch I, Claudius...feels like a play but I'm trying to press on as I'm sure the story is interesting

would be great to remake this

I liked it but not as much as season one. Much background information on the character comes to light. Still better than most.

You can’t get the test pattern anymore. Too bad; it is more interesting than 90% of what is available on TV nowadays.

You can still get it in Austin on cloudy nights.

The test pattern always kicks in about 1am after High Flight.

Still slogging through The Wire. Not quite as good on rewatch.

Orange is the New Black. I can't believe I never watched this, despite everyone telling me I should. Pretty good.

Sweet Tooth Errbody's got the virus. Only this time there's a bunch of animal kids running around. Watchable but nothing special. Reminds me of so many other post-apocalyptic dramas.

Arrested Development Sooooo damn good.

The Bite Coronavirus AND zombies!!!!. This is a Spectrum original so I'm not sure how many can get this. Surprisingly entertaining. I definitely recommend.

I thought Billions season 1 was bad because of what you mention above, but I feel like they made a conscious decision to just lean into it and be as corny and ludicrous as possible. When you feel like they're "in" on it, makes it more fun.

I’m watching the new lot released cooking with Paris. Cooking with Paris Hilton is for me, the most average thing I’ve watched in a while. I actually might be too good of a cook to watch the show as intended, I don’t think you’re supposed to watch the show and wonder how she would fare cooking actual legit dishes.
Still , I love Paris and it might be a “ back ground noise” show for me for awhile.

I don't think enough attention is given to "background noise" shows ITT. At least not intentionally.

Angles was a British series about young women who devoted their lives to caring about others, since they were beautiful and devoted themselves to others I cannot find a fault with with the title

I've been dipping a little into Grey's Anatomy reruns lately here at my Missouri hideout. Some numbered impressions.

1 Callie the lady surgeon and wife of doughy young George is the hottest woman on the show. She's like buttah I tell ya! Why that stupid dumb**** George wants to go cheating with Izzie is something of a mystery.

2 I will grant that Izzie (Catherine Heigl) is also quite hot and butta-ish herself, but her lack of confidence is off-putting. And you could sorta tell that Heigl knew she was getting the short end of the attention stick in a lot of ways. Too bad her post-Grey movie/tv career has been so checkered.

3 I can't ****ing stand George. What are all these hot lady doctors seeing in his sorry beta ass anyway? lol

4 Asian lady is annoying to look at but steals the show a lot. I like how willful she is about everything. Her black bf is a dick though.

5 Come to think of it, I can barely stand any of the show's male characters, except for the black older chief guy who's the only adult around for half the time, him and the short fat black lady who's in charge of the interns.

6 The voiceover narration reminds me a lot of Sex and the City.

7 There's a veneer of quality but the show isn't close to being authentically top-notch. It's not even one tenth as good as House, roughly speaking. I will say it's better than ER though, lol ER is just god-awful looking at it now, laughably bad.

I have told two receptionists recently that they are not “Just receptionists “, if they didn’t do their job the drs and nurses wouldn’t get paid for hanging around in their PJs. because they would have no one to treat.

I'm spending the summer in Missouri visiting my parents and getting cataract surgery, left my kioshk password behind in Texas to discourage too much internetting when I had real-life human beings around. It's worked I'd say, but I'll be back in San Antonio in a few days, and kioshk will likely be back on 2p2 wasting time again like nothing has changed. Except I'm not blind now, there is that.
