I really liked the first 2 seasons of Fargo, no idea why I didn't start watching season 3 before last night, episode 1 rocked. And I absolutely love Carrie ****, she stood out in The Leftovers even in that stellar cast. I just can't get enough of her, she's just the best and beautiful to boot. She should have about 10 Emmys by now.
Unfortunately they didn't get S4 of Fargo completed before cvd shut them down. Chris Rock starring in S4. They finished 8 of 10 episodes, ugh.
Quote:
Production began in October 2019 in Chicago, Illinois, with Hawley directing the first block of episodes.[17] In March 2020, FX suspended production on the series for at least two weeks due to the coronavirus pandemic.[18] The original premiere date of April 19, 2020, was also pushed back due to production delays. The series completed production on eight of the ten episodes before production shut down. FX will determine a new premiere date once production resumes.[2]
I'm giving this Lodge 49 show a spin to see how it handles. I want really bad to like this show and its assortment of oddball misfit loosah types, but I'm not sure. A show like Northern Exposure made this type of shambolic charm look easy, but Lodge 49 seems to be working overtime at it, at least thru the first 2 eps. I'll keep going for now.
I think I also want to like it cause Kurt Russell's son looks and acts so much like him, and Kurt Russell can do no wrong in my book! Now his mom Goldie Hawn, eh I guess she's ok too.
That show is far out. Amazing how they characterize the 70s wrt crime, and rape in particular. Society has changed so much, the permissiveness ( if you will ) of that time seems far more scarce in 2020
Just started a complete rewatch of Rick and Morty from the very beginning. Brilliance at every turn, seriously. S1e2 Lawnmower Dog is particularly epic imo.
There is always something new to see in every rewatch of a Rick & Morty episode. I don't think I've ever laughed harder at something so silly than this scene:
I don't watch much modern TV
I watch a lot of back in the day reruns The Rifleman is one of my favorites
the deal with The Rifleman was that he was quicker with his rifle than the bad guys were with their 6 shooters
but a main theme was his love for his son and how he educated him in the ways of the Old West
Chuck Connors, the star, is one of very few to play in both the NBA and the MLB
he was just a scrub - but still, he had to be one hell of an athlete to do that
check out the bada** into
nice looking 2 hand set shot............(-:}

Reason: 90% of the game is half mental
I was a big Rifleman fan. Those old TV westerns were great. I was always enamored with the trademark guns of various stars. I put the top 3 at in no particular order:
The Riflemans rifle, he could shoot it like a machine gun!
Wanted Dead or Alive (Steve McQueen) Mares Leg (sawed off rifle)
The Rebel (Johnny Yuma) sawed off shotgun
I think McQueens sawed off rifle was probably the coolest. He could draw and fire as good or better than any pistol gunslinger.
I can't seem to find my Rick and Morty T-shirt. It's amazing how obsessed I can get with mundane detective work during the Plague Year. Who's got it? Did I give it away? Did somebody steal it? Where is the thing?
