OMG the new season of The Last Kingdom is on Netflix....nothing better than medieval Brits and Danes with swords and witches and blood going ARGGGGGHHHHH as they rush into battle.

How does it compare to vikings? Loved vikings but im not sure about that show.

started watching Strike Back from season 2. 2episodes in and its fun so far

Vikings is great. In my opinion, The Last Kingdom's average episode quality is better than Vikings, as pretty much every episode of LK is good but I couldn't say the same about Vikings (though at Vikings' best it is really, really good).

I can't really imagine liking one and not the other. I would rank Vikings a bit higher because Ragnar>Uthred, but both shows are great.

I watched the 1st few seasons and its ok, I have lost interest this season, have 7 unwatched episodes on DVR. I will probably just watch the finale sometime, I think its the last season.

Tried watching "Nightflyers" last night. Couldn't get past the first half-hour. It was a mess. Nothing there that made me ever want to watch another minute.

Currently on Season 3 of Law and Order Vanilla. Always a great watch. Other shows :

Van Helsing looks promising.
New Amsterdam (2018) looks promising.
Super happy that Legacies came out, it's in the "Vampire Diaries" / "The Originals" universe which I am a huge fan of.
I really enjoyed season 1 of The Resident.
FBI is solid so far.
Loving The Good Doctor.
The Rookie seems good.
Scorpion was great.
I like Riverdale.
Krypton is good.

Although it's not an accurate portrayal of events, I was still engrossed by this series.
Konstantin Khabenskiy plays an excellent Trotsky, recounting his life through a series of flashbacks shortly before his death in 1940.

I watched the 1st episode of Death Magic on Netflix and its pretty interesting.
A guy travels to places where people have died performing dangerous tricks and then does the trick his own way and performs varies tricks for the locals while there.

The Kominsky Method is about Sandy Kominski (Michael Douglas) who is an acting coach trying to navigate growing old. Alan Arkin plays his best friend and agent, and they are fantastic together. A bit of the show goes past me due to age but it is funny and heartfelt. It's pretty short and worth checking out.

I was surprised to find out that Making a Murderer s2 deals with the same people as s1. Looking forward to watching it.

Escape at Dannemora was really good. Binged the whole thing this weekend. It's a 7-part mini-series about a prison escape from a few years ago. Directed by Ben Stiller and starring Benicio Del Toro, Paul Dano and Patricia Arquette.

I generally love this genre anyway, but it's def worth a watch if you just want a good show that isn't going to be a huge time commitment.

Finished watching Dark on Netflix. Weird time-travel show. Very moody and dark. Imagine Stranger Things directed by Ingmar Bergman.

This was probably the most confusing show I've ever watched. Many characters, in many different time periods, at many different ages. It was like Lost on steroids, in that the whole point in watching is trying to figure out what the hell is going on. After finishing all 10 eps, I'm still not sure. Ending was not satisfying imo.

Still worth checking out if you like time travel and trying to guess what's happening.

Finally finished Maniac. Highly enjoyable. Super confusing in many places but it certainly holds your attention.

I really liked Sally Field and the scenes with her and Theroux. Hilarious.

Although it kinda went all over the place, they tied it up pretty neatly.

Would recommend.

Finished Homecoming last night on Amazon Prime. Strong cast featuring Julia Roberts and created by the guy who did Mr. Robot. I didn't really care for Mr. Robot but this was pretty good and kept me very interested. The 10 30ish minute episodes seemed to go by very fast.

Very mysterious (starts slow and confusing but picks up and clarifies quickly), kinda creepy but intriguing. Would recommend.

Killing Eve - this was pretty good. At its best its like a Hannibal/James Bond/Bourne mashup and at its worst some type of Shonda Rhimes/Blacklist-y type of show

Pretty good with even more potential
