I really didn't like Black Mirror at all. I only watched the first couple of episodes and I didn't like any of them. It gets tons of praise on 2+2 though so its always refreshing to see I'm not totally alone in my viewing tastes

I had super high expectations. And then it made me question people. This was so unrealistic and silly that it overshadowed any acting. Why not just have the PM fly or time travel. Or walk through walls.

Even the stupid fact that 83% of the citizens that wanted him to **** the pig.

I understand creative license. This wasn’t creative. It was dumb. Felt like a 7th grade idea of funny.

fantastic writing and the cast is phenomenal god I love tony shaloob or however you spell it.
He was my favrorite character by far and was absolutely fantastic in every scene that he's in. His scenes with Kevin Pollak are especially good imo.

last nights episode is hilarious in parts

when Tom Sandoval was playing his trumpet, it felt like I was watching the reality tv version of Ross playing his music on Friends

Watching the Showtime show Episodes for the first time....the one where Matt Le Blanc plays himself....I'm liking it...pretty funny. It's like a British sitcom but with Joey from Friends.

I like it as well, the british actors can be tedious but surprisingly LeBlanc has managed to continually profit from his typecast where others would be out of work

Speaking of, did anyone ever watch the great sitcom Wings? Crystal Bernard has basically disappeared off the planet despite being alive and well (as far as I can tell)

Lala's take on it, something like, "baby dolphins trying to communicate: eeek eeek" loool was pretty on target.

Ok folks, I need some input.

I'm up to the end of season 4 of Lost. I have doubts as to whether it's worth watching the final 2 seasons, as I suspect that based on what friends says and the quality of the 4th season that it's going to be a garbage wreck.

Thoughts?

I guess that you have to trudge through the final 2 seasons to make the finale meaningful, but don't quit without watching the finale.

Just want to say how much I enjoy Doc Martin on PBS. At times, I do believe we share the same personality.

I almost never watch TV*. I don't even get TV at my current home. But about 2-years ago I saw a few Doc Martin shows and really enjoyed them. His caustic and curmudgeon personality is refreshing.

* I think that sentence may contain some bad grammar, if so; you all deserve it.

Quit now. The last season is worthless.

I loved all of LOST...it was great fun and very emotional. These guys are being silly.

regardless of what you think after the fact, I can't imagine watching the first 4 seasons of lost and not finishing it.

Watching The Team, a multinational European police procedural, on Mhz Choice. It's an above average series.

Watching The Tunnel on Amazon. It's a remake of the Danish/Swedish series The Bridge (which was also remade in the U.S.). The quasi-autistic-emotionally-insensitive female lead is moderated in the UK series. If I could only watch one, I'd watch the Scandi Bridge on Netflix.

Filling in gaps with watching episodes of Justified on Amazon.

S5 and 6 of lost are very different. Not as good as precious ones, but I still liked them. The best ep is behind you though "the constant" in s4. I liked the ending to. There are still many people that think they were dead all along based on the ending lol.

So the problem is that I found season 4 (for a season that is half the length of a standard Amercian TV series) felt like it dragged on for too long in order to accomplish very little.

Add to that, it would of, for me, been an ideal junction to finish. I mean, They're off the island. Anything else feels like carrying on for the sake of carrying on.

Dirty Money on Netflix is a must-watch if you like true crime. The episode on the Canadian maple syrup cartel and the strategic maple syrup reserve heist was absolutely fascinating.

The Pillars Of The Earth http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1453159/
Brilliant adaptation of Ken Follets best selling novel, set during the war-torn shadow of England's dark Ages.
Ian McShane is superb as the corrupt and ambitious Bishop Waleran Bigod who is hell bent on stopping the construction of Kingsbridge catherdral,
Great supporting cast with solid performances from Eddie Redmayne, Rufus Sewell and Mathew MacFadyen.
Compelling and gritty 12th century drama.

World Without End http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1878805/
157 years later and Kingsbridge struggles to survive as England is embroiled in the 100 years war with France and Europe is ravaged by an outbreak of the Black Death.
Another great adaptation of Ken Follets second book in the Kingsbridge series.

Binged through both seasons over the last 3 days, once started it's hard to stop.

That seems like a dick thing to say when you know someone is watching the series for the first time.

First two episodes of Season 7, the final season, of A French Village on Mhz Choice. The editing included too many jump cuts for me, but I will stick around because of Season 7 being the last season, and my wanting to see how the editors portray the problems of peace. If you've never watched AFV, I'd suggest starting at Season 1. The series presents WWII from a very different POV.
