Watched the first episode of Vikings tonight.

It was interesting enough. Will watch more.

I enjoyed Vikings, will be getting season 2 soon and I think season 3
has been completed so plenty to look forward to.

If you liked Vikings you might like Black Sails as well,
plenty if pirate shenanigans.

Just watched episode 5 of Vikings. So far so good. Enjoying the show.

Made it to the third episode of Black Sails and had to snap fold. Completely lost in all the story lines. Maybe try it again someday.

Last weekend some cable station ran the entire run of The Phil Silvers Show aka Sgt. Bilko. I DvRed the whole thing My DvR recorded for over 2 days straight.

I have seen all of these before but not for many many years. I love this show! It will take quite a while to get through all 150ish episodes. They are basically all the same but very enjoyable. Much more entertaining than a lot of recent stuff. It's also a great time capsule shot from 1955 to 1959. Plenty of political incorrectness, stuttered lines from being shot with no retakes, and nostalgia.

This, The Munsters and The Addams Family are easily my favourite oldschool comedy TV, Silvers was a genius.

Season 2 of Vikings is out on disc and S3 is airing on Amazon Prime, seen a couple of trailers on tv and it looks like they upped the budget for each season.

Black Sails is a bit convoluted for a while, but I still think it's worth
sticking with it.
Seasons 2 + 3 are out I think.
I looked at it as establishing the main characters and setting up the storyline for future seasons more than a story in itself. Great sea-battle scenes as well, just not enough of them

I always thought he had a remarkable facial similarity to the Dalai Lama.

Has anyone seen them both in the same room together? I thought not.

I don't spend lots of time in the lounge outside of the movie thread, but just went through the entirety of this one. A few notes :

- Great to see lots of love for True Detective and am excited about season 2 : it has the potential to be GOAT.

- On the other hand, am disappointed for the lack of love for Utopia and it personally remains the second most painful premature show cancellation ever (after Stargate Universe ; sorry Firefly fans).

- Added Band of Brothers to my list.

- No mention of Through the Wormhole? I guess it is a quantum physics documentary series and selects a handful of predictable/sensational subjects, yet Morgan Freeman does a decent job narrating and who doesn't like quantum physics!?!

I haven't bothered watching the 2nd season of Utopia because it was cancelled. But man, that first season was awesome.

Second season of Utopia simply makes the cancellation even more painful. This said, I am more than intrigued about HBO's plans to remake it with none other than David Fincher :

I do hope he gets someone like Trent Reznor for the soundtrack, as Utopia offered an unmatchable music score, me thinks.

Is there any love out there for 12 Monkeys? I watched the first 3 episodes, but while somewhat interesting, I can't get passed the mediocre quality... (and this is coming from a big 12 Monkeys fan...). Really not a big fan of Cole's actor neither.

I watched all of it and though it was pretty good. Even liked the guy that plays Cole. But, to answer your question, no, there doesn't seem to be much love for it.

I thought it was awesome, really entertaining. Got better as it went along. Im a sucker for time travel tho.

Just watched Mad Men finale, best show ever imo but damn that was an awefull finale. So disappointing. Reminded me of dexter finale, but that show was already bad for 4 seasons.

I love Mad Men. I thought the finale was as strong as the show. Excellent TV series. I plan to rewatch it all this summer.
