WPIX used to interview Stengel after Yankee home games when I was a boy. I would howl with laughter. He was pretty sly with his nonsense.

Many people hate freedoms, especially freedom of speech and freedom of ideas*. So bans are inevitable. Cyrus was fun. But having fun is not reasonable or a requisite to allow freedom of expression. Especially on a public forum.

*unless it is their own of course.

I liked Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera. But, yes, the Yankees are evil.

After the Sox beat the Yankees and won the World Series, they got the rings at Fenway. The crowd applauded Mariano loudly for giving up the winning run. He smiled broadly. Class act.

Coach would yell at me when I forgot to get it around the horn after a strikeout with nobody on. I forgot often, as my catching philosophy was already deeply rooted in my body and mind. The philosophy was simple: get 3 outs as fast as possible.

I've had auto horns blasted at me.

I've blasted auto horns at others.

I could go on, but it would leave me with an incomplete feeling. I feel I have aptly taken the bait and now I will await epic punchline.
