I did read that, John Cole. I read Coover's baseball book too, prefigured fantasy baseball! Read both back in the 80s when I was a naive college student.

He was good! I had his football card, "Jackie" Kemp haha. He won AFL titles for them in 64 and 65. The Bills' glory years! Kemp was AFL MVP in 65.

As a purported Bills fan, you should already know this ****.

aah, I missed that you'd used Kemp, Dominic. I always liked him, friendly guy. They traded him to the Chargers at the height of his career iirc. I have a cool oral history book about the history of the AFL.
