Live and Let Die is probably the worst of the first ~20 bond films. Definitely the co-worst with TND overall. And later QoS.

Other than a verrrry young Jane Seymour, it is a 1* film. The ending is so hilarious stupid and bad and ludicrous -- even for a Bond film.

Mr. Big gonna give out free heroin at his 'Fillet of Soul' restaurants. GMAFB. Blaxploitation + Bond = terrible.

Man w GG is also awful. Spy Who Loved me was 5x better than either.

Hard to argue with this list, although I might find room for The Philadelphia Story, Trouble in Paradise and Tootise instead of Vacation, Trading Places, and Groundhog Day.

Phila Story and The Producers are both fine imho. Producers doesn't measure up to the other two Mel Brooks on my list.

I did find one glaring omission - I'm going to replace Vacation with There's Something About Mary. I was actually at lunch today when that popped into my head that I had forgotten it somehow, couldn't believe it.

South Park is very funny. An old friend of mine co-wrote it.

Tootsie is quite solid, but not on my top list. Dumb and Dumber isn't remotely funny.

Dom - I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that about Groundhog Day.

C'mon Dom...even William Goldman said TSAM was a perfectly written comedy and deserved Oscar recognition. [In an article lamenting the lack of respect for comedies by the Academy since the...late 60s?]

I guess maybe you might think the acting was terrible. I'm not even a big Stiller fan at all.
