Although I don't agree that being hairless as a boy is what defines good grooming, I do agree that you will have no trouble finding gentlemen who agree with you and whom most women would find absolutely delightful.

grooming is one thing, I'm all for grooming. Clippers are for grooming. But waxing until you are as hairless as a 12 year old boy is quite another.

But hey, if that's your thing, that's your thing.

Well, all the pretty boys are doing it.

Real men are not pretty. Tom Jones is not pretty.

I, am not pretty.

Devastatingly handsome, maybe.

besides, do you really want to get stubble-burn when you snuggle into your man's chest?

I'm curious...what did you edit out of that last sentence here since you left the comma in?

You are wrong. That is all.

lol...no edit, it was artistic license! I wanted a pause. like I said, if you like your men as hairless as 12 year old boys, good for you. Just realize you are in the minority. Most women I've come across like their men to look like men.

So they tell you...I'm sorry, but if you have a hairy back, I don't know ONE woman who finds that attractive.

As long as we're bringing up men's hairs, by the way -- what's with the women's nipple hairs? Are we supposed to be down with that yet?

Well, clearly women cannot wax their chests, for as Dominic says, that's just gay.

No, we like it when you guys are gay. At least if we can be in the room at the time.

I think Help Yourself is my theme song sometimes

He's kind of a "singer's singer." Every vocalist I have ever played with (who really cared about their craft) would rave about his abilities as a singer. And not just the screamer/shouter types, either; the ones who really understand the way that phrasing and musicality affect the performance used to rave about the guy. He really could transcend some of the cheese he was given to sing, and make it work.

Also, Jimmy Page played on a few of his early sides, including She's a Lady, so the cred is there.

Sang a lot of cheese, though...

ok, mostly.

I like all the greats already mentioned, but I have a soft-spot for his James Bond song Thunderball, which everyone else seems to hate.

The other thing about Tom is he's so goddamn manly. Robbie Williams talked about doing a duet with him sometime during some big charity gig, and he said something like 'singing with Tom Jones was like being the girl in a couple. And I enjoyed being the girl for Tom.'

It was this gig I think: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYR4sUF2Ok4

Tom appears about a minute and a half in.

hahahahahaha....that's awesome. I've seen Tom Jones 4 times in concert here in Vegas, and he's always great.

And yes, I've had to stop myself from joining in with the ladies who throw their panties at him. Not that I usually wear panties, of course.

I'd love to see Tom. In fact, he's now 3rd on my all-time list of who I'd really like to see live (at their peak):

1. The Beatles
2. Donna Summer
3. Tom Jones

Even above Elvis

just listen to this:

I Who Have Nothing

What a voice. And no one was cooler than Tom Jones on stage, except for maybe Elvis.

Englebert was good, but he's like The Monkees to Tom Jones' Beatles!

The clip of him doing Unbelievable with EMF is pretty funny....those kids seem like they're half star-struck and half laughing their asses off!
