My first review, i have just started getting into craft beer/micro breweries, belgium, scottish, english beers etc. though i have decided for my first review i will do something domestic
Picked it up at my local beer distributor, was refrigerated when purchased, $3.50 for a 22 ounce bomber.
Long Trail - Imperial Porter, 8.3 ABV (Brewed in Vermont, US)
Look: Pours a deep black motor oil color that i was expecting, minimal light getting through this pint glass. Tanish head that was very lacy and seemed like it was permanently stuck to the glass
Smell: Toffee, chocolate, burnt malts, prunes, molasses, as the beer got closer to room temp it started opening up excellently
Taste: Dark chocolate, strong coffee notes, nutty and toasty, with a pinch of hops to level it out
Mouth Feel: Very malty, very smooth with all the elements of the beer coming out as soon we you take your first sip, not to bold or too mild, you have a hard time believing this beer comes in at 8.3 ABV, extremely drinkable but i would not recommend more then a couple... Final rating B+
I hope my first review was good, ill be doing more shortly as i have lots of new beers ive discovered id like to talk about! My next review will be one of my favorite scottish ale / wee heavys by the name of SkullSplitter :-D

Review:
St. Peter's Organic English Ale
Comes in a really sweet clear, flask shaped medicinal looking glass bottle (will be saving this) and is a nice dark orange/caramel color. Pours with virtually no head into my New Belgium glass. Perhaps I poured it too carefully?
At first smell I thought I was drinking a very mild tripel. Smells a lot like that type of beer. I smell yeast, light malted barley (thanks to the back of the bottle, makes sense though), smells sweet, and fresh.
Taste is very straightforward, almost blandish, but very good. Kind of like a lower alcohol tripel that doesn't have as much citrus/yeast. I can taste a hint of the alcohol, and it leaves a pungent, sourish aftertaste, not digging it, but it's not much of an affect.
Mouthfeel is that of slight carbonation, and smoothness.
I definitely think this is a legit session ale. I paid $3.69 for a 16.9oz bottle, and would probably pick it up again, it's fun to drink, and I feel like Darwin pouring out of this medicinal looking bottle.

I think the Dark Lord was $10 when I bought it at the brewery.
It sounds like it has aged well, I bought that bottle in April 2008 Wookie, the hops were more dominant initially but it sounds like they haven't faded too much, it was never hop dominant. I still have a few more left

These had some too but, fairly standard from this brewery in my experience.
I love the west coast IPA they put out and I buy it quite frequently, I find it commonly has some sediment floaties.
I wouldn't say a TON though... if you like hops, these two brews are for you.

Speaking of Russian styles with Dark in the title here is a pretty decent Russian Style Stout I'm sure a lot of you are aware of, but it is becoming harder an harder to find. The last time I saw it in a store was about a month ago. They had the poster as well but the girl behind the counter said they were going to hang it in the store

In honor of the end of Prohibition, I'm drinking a Brew Free or Die IPA from the 21st Amendment Brewery. This also came to me by way of Ry. 7% ABV, it's in a can!
Pours just slightly cloudy with a very nice head.
Classic IPA aroma. Hops, malt. I can't say this is the most exciting IPA I've ever had, but it's solid. It does seem a little maltier than some IPAs, certainly, but the hops aren't as rich as in, say, Lagunitas' version. I'd never turn down one of these if offered, though..
