hot weather+sunshine+sun dress+nothing else
this creation's only intention was to get a reaction out of any warm blooded male, and it just so happens to succeed every time

Thank you!
according to quick search kansas has some sandhills cranes and whooping cranes, and black wing crane doesn't come up, so what I think right now is blackwing is descriptive and it is either a whooping crane or a sandhill crane. If it's a whooping crane those are listed as endangered/very rare in kansas.

100% great blue heron.

they stand or walk the shallows looking to quickly grab a fish, frog or insect. many nest in colonies in the trees in nest of twigs.
i used to have one colony i could see from my house. but since the bald eagles started nesting close to it they moved on. too bad

Birds are actually dinosaurs that went berserk in evolutionary terms. Some are useful, most are not. Just like Humans.

It’s worth repeating; Sober people are boring!

I’ve got a dinosaur now! Howard the desert tortoise. Had to build him a burrow in our backyard. He’s quite personable and likes coming indoors to tease the cats.

I am not particularly fond of turtles. I find them to be slow and boring.
