Thank you.

Took him to the vet today. She's not overly worried yet. Put him on pain meds, took blood, looked him over, etc. Could be juvenile ortho something something. We'll see. Poor guy has been through so much.

Well I didn't get my own dog, but I did talk my girlfriend into getting one. When she told me that she was getting a Havanese, I had to look on the internet.

Here's a couple pics from when she was 8 weeks old.

She's a little over one now. She got to go to the shore this weekend with some friends. Beaches are tiring.

IMO, alfie still has the title for most photogenic dog itt. Didnt he get really sick a while back? Its looking like hes recovered?

Thanks, he got blood poisoning and was touch and go for about a week but is fine now. We are very lucky to have two of the friendliest and nicest dogs out there.

Will try and get some more snaps now we have a new camera. The caribbean sand and sea doesnt love the cameras.

Kephra's face reminded me of an ant eater.

What kind of dog is Newman? He looks tough.

Mishka, 5 month old Rottweiler. Enjoys playing with young children and likes long walks. Loves anything that involves water including taking showers. Extremely high energy, and likes anything that involves chewing. Naturally guarded against adult strangers.

Drago, 10+ week old brindle colored Boerboel. Enjoys sleeping, peeing, farting and to a lesser extent pooping. Enjoys wrestling with Mishka. Fearless.

Chuy, 10+ year old Chihuahua. He mainly enjoys chillin' out and watching TV. He doesn't take any crap from any animal, and if an animal show up on TV Chuy will charge the television with no concern for his own well being.

Kephra Moon was a Pharaoh Hound... there are better pictures of the breed.

Newman is a girl... she's a Australian Cattle Dog.(Blue Heeler). She's really very smart so she comes off judgmental in her pictures.

I'M Judging you!

Thanks man. I can't wait until they are full grown and out of this puppy stage. Mishka has a ton of energy for a rottweiler. Drago is more laid back. I'm hoping once he's bigger than her (which I assume will be in a couple months) that he'll help keep her in line. It does seem that even at his young age he has already started to take the dominant role, which is good IMO.

Our Husky, Denali. Age 6 and 1/2. Possibly the most awesome and intelligent dog ever but certainly not for everyone. I'm fairly confident he understands pretty much everything but you can see his wheels turning on what he needs to act like he understands.

Playing with a seldom seen but awesome friend that prompted us to get our second dog.

The second dog, King (named before we got him and we decided not to change it). Just as the brown English lab in the previous two pictures King is a pure bred English Black Lab. A lot of people don't know the difference but in a nut shell they tend to be a bit stockier, have bigger heads, and be a bit more social towards other dogs (than their taller, stockier brethren known as American Labs).

A former show dog (with blue ribbons) who was returned to the breeder by due to his older owners health issues King knows how to pose.

They truly are best friends but are so, so different. King is a bit (to me) overbearing. He follows you everywhere and is always underfoot. My wife loves this and the subsequent affection. I think it gets a bit old.

Denali is almost certainly far more intelligent but also far less obedient because of it. Anyone who knows the breed will understand this. His affection is also harder to attain. He makes you work a bit more for it. For example he will come and sit next to you wanted to be pet but will make sure he is just at the bounds of your reach. Sometimes he sits just beyond it.

King on the other hand would be as much on the furniture and in your lap as you let him. We don't let him on furniture though so instead he acts more like a cat, using any free appendage of your to give himself pets.

Ultimately though they are both so fiercely awesome that I'm terrified of the time in the (hopefully) distant future when they aren't with us anymore and we have to entertain replacing them. I'm just not certain they can be topped.

I've got lots more pics, more so of them together, but will have to pull them from a different computer at a later time.

Just fed Mishka and Drago raw chicken leg quarters for the first time. They seemed to struggle at first, so I separated the leg from the thigh and fed it to them like that. Then, Drago scarfed his entire quarter down in just a few minutes, bone and all. He had previous experience with chicken quarters since his original owner had fed them to him before he was even 8 weeks old. Mishka had only eaten dog food so she struggled a bit at first but seemed to eventually figure it out.

I bought a bunch of different meat including chicken quarters, turkey legs, and beef ribs (no pork) for the dogs. I also bought them some carrots. I have no plans to go to a completely raw diet but just want to give them some raw food to mix it up a bit. Funny enough, the high end dry dog food I purchase is over $2 a lb and all of meat (well except the cornish game hen) was less than that (the chicken quarters are way less).
