She is a total sweetheart; though it's annoying I can't sit down without her walking on me and the laptop - particularly as I have allergies (she almost folded AA). OTOH he sheds more and likes countertops. Tough one.
I suppose you're right though. I'll try to find him a home myself though - he really hated that pound.
Dunno if either would get along with another cat either though...

Haha, what a little cutie. Boomer may be an owl, not a cat; you might want to check into that.

We had a little long-haired yellow kitten many years ago that looked a lot like this. And he had these crazy long eyebrows that always flopped down in front of his face. He was so little when we got him that he used to sleep snuggled up on the ledge of my collarbone!

I have the best little kitten in the whole wide world. She snuggles between me and hubby at night. She greets us at the door when we come, even if she's been sleeping, she'll come down the stairs, meet us while still half asleep and then do her yawns and stretching. She plays fetch, hangs outside with us on her leash, rides around on our shoulders and best of all...doesn't shed! I could go on all day, but I know what you all want; pictures of my little gremlin. Because of her different proportions it's hard to tell her size from pictures, she's smaller than she looks. She weighs about 6-6.5 lbs.

Nuke the kitten

edit: she's a Devon Rex, I suppose I should mention that

I remember this experience vividly as a child and its 100 % real.

So one day my brother was doing a art project for primary school and there was a large amount of glue involved i cant recall exactly what he was doing but it had something to do with Paddle pop sticks ( if you live in Australia you will know exactly what a Paddle pop is its basically a ice cream on a stick). So my brother finishes his project and decides to leave the Wood Glue out and wander off.

About 15 minutes later or less not too sure how long. I hear my brother call out loud "MUM MUM COME HERE QUICK" i quickly run out of my room to and see my Cat sitting up next to the glue with his mouth wide open which he cant move ( if you have ever seen a Dehydrated bird with its mouth open thats exactly how he looked) i remember my Mum saying we have to get Ricky to the vet. During the drive i am totally freaking out as Ricky is hissing out loud next to to me in the back of the car because he cant breathe. We get him to the vet and Ricky makes a fully recovery. But it ends up being a expensive mistake with the operation totalling $500. We all learnt a valuable lesson DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING OUT FOR THE CAT

My St. Bernard "Bernie" when I first got him at ~9 weeks. He is almost 5 months now and a lot bigger, will have to find a good pic

Zoe - my roomate's girlfiriend's Jack Russel Terrier
Bernie
Zeke - my roomates Husky

Bernie & Zeke

Amber - lab/Chow mix that is at my mom's house

Anybody have any experience with large dogs? I am getting a new car soon and was wondering is a fully grown St. Bernard can ride in a coupe/sedan or will I have to go SUV?

Woo hoo more nice multi-dog pics! That St.Bernard is really cute.

Ask Mrs. Utah re big dogs. She has a newfoundland, which is even bigger than a St. Bernard.

Vikefan24 I love your dog!! I was wanting to get a Golden Retiever like diehard but we got this instead. My aunt has one (Golden R) and its so smart and beautiful I love that breed.

first 2 pictures are the first day we got her 8 weeks old on the day. The mother is a pure bred golden Retriever and the father is a German Sheppard mix (not sure what) the breeder was an Amish guy and was super quiet.

I ****ing love this dog and her colour. The brindle is getting brighter and brighter. eeheh i had to come here and brag/post pics

gf took this when I passed out lol

shes 10 weeks old in these. praying the brindle stays i like it.

her name's Maggie. i wanted a better name but literally couldn't come up with anything lol..ohwell its not bad i guess

We have a little grey cat who comes to visit most days. He's feral; it's taken two years for him to let me within three feet of him. When he first started coming around he was two-thirds the size he is now, and these days when the sun shines on his fur it almost sparkles. Despite not naming him (except Little Grey Cat) I am deeply attached to him. Damn, I had really hoped the no-name thing would work.

Anyway his leg is swollen and clearly very sore (an infection, I would guess). I try to respect his space but I feel like I should have tried to capture him yesterday to bring him in for a professional's evaluation because I haven't seen him since. We're hoping he tries to make it up the hill today because I have no idea where to look for him now, and I'm worried.

I realize he isn't my cat but today it sure feels like he is.

I've got a 12 year old Maine **** type male cat named "Tony". He was the neighbor's cat, but adopted us when their dog attacked him. He's a hunter and keeps the neighborhood free of mice, moles, and other critters. Once, he brought home a full grown (dead) rabbit.

I have 4 other cats and a long-haired German Shepherd. I've trained this shepherd into the most athletic dog I've ever owned. She's also the fastest. She loves to catch frizbees and watching her leap for them is quite the blast.

The other pets are quite pedestrian but utterly lovable. Our whole family ( 4 children and wifey and me ) all love cats so they are all well-taken care of.

Sigh, thanks. Are you another feeder?

He did finally come by and I got a look at him. The swelling is down but there's a thumbprint-sized chunk missing out of that arm. I still want to intervene with antibiotics or something, but if I were to manage to trap him he becomes property of the Humane Society and I have to apply to adopt him (if they deem him adoptable, which I doubt).

Pre-altercation paparazzi shot. So serious.

Other cat is also a foundling. This one came looking for a home around the same time and found one. She started to turn up at 9:00, leave at 5:00, then stayed later and later until we kept her in overnight when the weather turned cold. Eventually we put a collar on her with a note asking who she belonged to and no one wrote back (or removed the collar), and she was ours.

She's incredibly loving, a pretty good hunter, and kind of a punk.

Poker Reference, this hits me hard. My parents had a similar ongoing adventure with a feral cat. After several tenacious months, they managed to trap it and get it living with them. And it had feline leukemia, but it lived several years more, and my parents loved that cat to the maximum.

And that picture looks so much like my cat I had, a gray tabbie just like that.

These cats get under your skin and become so important. All the best, Poker Reference.

Thanks, Kioshk. Do they have any tips on trapping? After thick gloves and battle gear I'm drawing a blank on strategy.

He was in again this morning, and his leg is fairly normal but the paw is like a catcher's mitt. We were hoping to find a crooked vet who will prescribe antibiotics sight-unseen, but they all insist on examining him first (the bastards). The best outcome is that they treat him for whatever and we'll be able to bring him back and release him, whereupon he won't speak to us for a week. Second best, if this is the beginning of his end, is that it's in a doctor's office and not because he gets ripped apart by a raccoon. He was able to defend himself once but I worry about his chances in his current state.

Poker Reference, I'll ask my mom. She's amazing in about 34 different ways. She imposes her will on nature over and over again.

She may be playing golf now, but I'll get ahold of her and post here today.

Poker Reference, she said they got the cat to where it was eating there everyday and then gradually moved the food dish inside the house, so there wasn't any real active trapping that took place. So not much help, sorry.

This thread makes me sad. Me and the gf had one of her familys dogs last fall. She moved to work in another town and neither felt we had the heart to keep it, since it's a pretty active dog (jack russel and danish/swedish yard dog*) so he had to move back to his and gf's family. All though honestly he's probably better off now since he is with his mother and sister and they have a big ass yard to raise all sorts off hell on.

*that probably isn't the correct name, but basically the race resembles the JR in looks but not as intense. Guess they are bigger also.

Here's the whole family.

By himself.
