Great cast and I liked the ending, but I thought the movie was pretty average. I'm not even sure what I didn't like about it, but my wife and I both thought it was just ok.

I thought get out was a better story, that worked from the beginning to the end while "us" was a more traditional well-made horror movie with a rationalized ending that I didn't buy into.

Spoiler:
I thought the action was lacking tension in the 2nd half of the movie when i stopped worrying for the main family that didn't seem to be in real danger anymore going through the bad guys at a zombie movie pace.

Anyway Jordan Peele is pretty gifted and I'm glad he stopped key and peele for that kind of projects and not "keanu" only.

The Hummingbird Project was more interesting for the idea of a fiber optic tunnel being built between NYC and KC to shave 1 mm of time than the actual narrative.

That still doesn't change the fact that I spoke of A Rupert Pupkin influence, IN SEPTEMBER OF 2018...

Supposedly there is an additional incentive for Leonardo DiCaprio and warner bros to begin production of a live action remake of Akira ... as long as the movie is made in California.

California is offering them some 18 million dollars in tax incentives to make specifically that movie in the state.

Finally saw Cold War. It's not the masterpiece that Ida is, but it's damn good. No one working today has mastered composition and his frame like Paweł Pawlikowski. Just astounding - and in 4:3!

How did you interpret the ending?

Thought the Joker trailer was absolutely riveting, can’t wait but also don’t want to get my hopes up.

I don’t know that much about the film industry but I don’t understand why there aren’t more dark, “realistic” takes on superhero movies. To me they provide a perfect platform for a director to be completely creative while still having the marketability that studios want.

Hopefully the success of Dark Knight and Logan helps to get more of these types of movies made.

Fingers crossed!

Gah, enough with these live-action anime remakes.

Wow is Aquaman bad. I mean, it got all these great reviews but it's a mess.
  • In literally the first fifteen seconds of Aquaman being introduced kicking bad guy-ass, we get THREE head turns, smirks and winks at the camera by our hero.
  • You'd think fish-people who continually get out of the water wouldn't have long hair that becomes a mess in the air.
  • Why do the soldiers of the bad-guy brother have to wear underwater battle armor that encases their faces if they can breath in air or water?
  • How can the Atlantans swim so well underwater with regular people-limbs? You'd they think would've evolved some fins or flipper feet by now to help them.
  • Why is this Mantis guy such a jerk?
  • Why don't humans know about Atlantis? not like it's hiding.
  • Why can Aquaman ****ing FLY??

Jesus, what a stupid movie.

I thought so too. It just was so casual the way they crossed the street after. I wondered if maybe I was wrong.

What happen when a fast and furious director do his first superhero based on Zack Snyder vision?

Tom Horn popped up. 1980.

Near the end Steve McQueen. Some TV guy got the director's credit.

Got the chance to watch old man McQueen try to run. Linda Evans rides a horse.

Richard Farnsworth played Richard Farnsworth. Gonna look for no-cost stream of The Straight Story for the classroom. The Grey Fox played for months on the indie-circuit in 82.

Got Choke on DVR. Never seen it.

Eh. Tried to post a link from Tapatalk but didn’t work. I reviewed this movie like a decade ago.
