Agreed and I think this is why the trailer was cut in a way that Shuffle could reasonably say that it looks like a superhero movie.

Blade Runner 2049 didn't really do that with its trailers, and I'm guessing the vast majority of the hype was from Blade Runner fans, and not the average movie goer. A very backwards approach as any true Blade Runner fan was going to be in that movie theater regardless of the trailers.

I enjoyed Jodorowsky's Dune, but the entire time I was thinking "this movie would have been horrible."

Spoiler:
the trailer for Jodorowsky's Dune >>>>>> this Dune's trailer.

It's going to be hard for any movie anywhere to top Jodorowsky's Dune.

One question before I watch it with my GF: does the pig survive? She can't watch it if an animal - who looks to be an important character - gets killed.

Spoiler:
you are told it died, but never see it die or any harm to it except for at the start when it's taken

Some recent horror movies:

Censor - great little atmospheric, paranoid scary movie...not for everyone, but this is pretty cool. The ending is a bit abrupt, and is one of those movies that would've benefitted from being longer...this one is all 80s/VHS mood.

Blood Red Sky - German/Czech production about a hijacking that goes terribly wrong for both the hijackers and the passengers. On board is a young mother who will stop at nothing to protect her child...and her dark secret. Imagine if Passenger 57 and Blade were the same movie. These vampire/zombie hybrids are pretty great....this one is quite gory with some fun, nasty scares. Very well done.

You just watched it for the first time???

The Rewatchables on Reality Bites is actually pretty solid as well, a nice hindsight vision on the the grudge/anti-establishment era that was the 90s

Old It had an interesting story that kept my attention. The problem was everything else. Acting, dialogue, the strange way that it was shot. All of that ranged from bad to terrible. However, the storyline is good enough to make it watchable and it was a little better than the the reviews. 6/10 but if you can overlook some stuff, 7/10.

I think 6/10 is just about the best review I've seen thus far for Old lol.

I still want to see it.

I'm here to tell everyone that the Jane Eyre movie with Orson Welles isn't nearly as good as the Wuthering Heights movie with Laurence Olivier.

Still Smokin (1983) Directed by Tommy Chong, featuring Cheech & Chong sketches.

Cheech and Chong are very talented comedians and actors and this film is still very funny after all these years. They made fun of everyone...which is no longer kosher in today's world.

Five bowls of bud out of five.

Oh, the humanity.

I’d actually argue there’s much more offensive humor available “in today’s world,” but keep on beating that drum.

If someone said 2/10, I wouldn’t argue. There is a lot that can be picked apart, but I found it interesting and the ending made sense.
