Yeah I remember I really appreciated it during The Social Network. Usually it seems done on accident, but it at least felt purposeful for some reason in that movie. John Wick also had that club scene where it seemed purposeful and dizzying.

I concur, Trent Reznor is a musical genius I always pay extra attention to the music score, and Social Network was indeed amazing.

We seem to have very different tastes in movies (although I appreciate your reviews ) and while (like I just said) I absolutely loved the Social Network, yes, I agree that the music score is exceptionally LOUD and if you do not dig it, I understand how it can be annoying af

I have particular tastes Not really a Fincher fan but he has done some good stuff. and some stuff I hated. I think the sound editing in Social Network was the work of an idiot though if done purposefully. Put me on tilt and that is not what I am looking for out of my movie entertainment.

I enjoyed this one. It was good, but not great, science fiction. I have to say it took me a while to get into it, but by the time it was over I was hooked. Solid premise, solid execution.
I thought this was outstanding. Low budget, high concept... everything I love about classic science fiction. Plus the execution was completely solid (love the voice acting!). Would recommend for anyone who liked Deus Ex.

As someone who normally hates 80's nostalgia fanservice I am absolutely hyped for Top Gun: Maverick and also the new Terminator movie. Senior citizens kicking all kinds of ass as of late.

If ever there's a decade that we should be nostalgia about, it's the 80s!

It looks identical to the first film, almost shot for shot. Tom flies plane upside down. Tom wears jacket and shades. Tom rides bike next to plane taking off. Tom proves irresistible to attractive woman. Tom goes to funeral. Tom saves the day.

The Lion King 2019, photo realistic and amazing to look at but unfortunately it's basically a shot-for-shot remake that isn't as lively or creative as the original. Beyonce's voice acting as Nala is pretty bad and it's kind of distracting but everyone else was fine. It's probably worth watching in IMAX because of the technical marvel that is at times but when it's not it just seems like the movie is going through the motions checking all of the Lion King's greatest hits checkboxes.

Not keen on watching Lion King or any of the other remakes to come. Really turns me off that they are still milking off from these beloved releases instead of leaving them as is.

I see a lot of women on my Facebook feed that are loving these remakes so it seems they're hitting the nostalgia buttons for some demographics. But yeah I have less than zero interest in any of these remakes.

I'm curious about Top Gun. I was watching the trailer on a phone screen but I want sure if there were shot for shot callbacks or the trailer was just interlaced with flashbacks or something.

But either way between the distinctive ring, the Harold faltermeyer theme, and those shots from the nose of the plan I got a little fired up from the trailer. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing this in theaters. I'm hoping for a rerelease of the original in theaters as well since I never got to have that experience

Long Shot with Seth Rogen and Charlize Theron a good, dumb romcom with some lolz. Easy to watch. Don't expect much, but it's enjoyable.

Great movie. My girlfriend and I enjoyed it last night. The animated version is still better. Scar should have been a little darker looking and a little more evil was my only gripe. This and the live action Aladdin were really good choices by Hollywood.

The original was notable for being one of those great movies that can be watched just as well with the sound off. As long as the second has jets, bikes, hot chicks and sunsets at Miramar, it should be a good movie.

I disagree completely. I finally got around to seeing it a few days ago and thoroughly enjoyed myself. In fact, I've seen it twice now in the last three days. I went by myself Thursday because I noticed that that was the final showing at the multiplex nearest my house in Coconut Grove; however, I noticed yesterday that it was still playing in nearby Coral Gables, so I took my wife to see it last night and she enjoyed it as much as I did. There's a reason that Yesterday has an audience score of 89 on Rotten Tomatoes.

Now, it's no cinematic masterpiece, but it's a charming little romcom with fantastic music. Not to mention that I am now completely in love with the terminally cute and absolutely adorable Lily James.
