It's like a distant forerunner to Sorkin's scripts, which also cause me to eye roll so much I can hardly watch the screen.
That is all part of the allure for me. Bogart Bacall interactions bring me joy.

I read the book two, or maybe even three times before I felt I had a handle on what was going on. At first I assumed that the movie makers had tried to make sense, but had failed. I eventually realized that they hadn't, but had tried to tell a story and succeeded. It seems that certain types of consistencies are necessary for storytelling, but other types don't matter at all.

It should really be called “Avengers: you people will pay for anything. We are not even trying anymore”

A bit long sure.

I wish he hadn't posted that. Now I have to wait all the way 'til summer, and I don't know if I can do it.

It's all rather baffling. It appears as though Zhang Ziyi got her hair cut. Of course, she can do whatever she wants, but would it have hurt her to pick up the phone and tell me first? Maybe I'm too demanding, but I expect a little more from my imaginary gfs.

(btw, it looks good. (I know she lurks here.))

Sorry to Bother You was insane. It's an absurdist comedy about a black man who finds he has the gift of being able to perform an excellent "white voice" which allows him to become a great telemarketer and escape extreme poverty. The movie is really absurd, sometimes painfully so and at one point got way too absurd for me. The story was masterfully told though and I still loved it despite the plot losing me. Impossible to talk about the movie much without giving too much away, but I would recommend it for anyone who likes weird.

Yeah I rank it very high as well. I'm surprised it worked as well as it did, really amazing execution.

Watched Blackkklansman and Hail, Caesar on the same flight. Thought they were both pretty much. Blackkklansman was great for awhile then turned into a campy, far fetched mess. Hail, caesar I just didnt find particularly funny and I did not care about the characters at all.

Uncle Nick was fun, lewd humor. I enjoyed it. Brian Posehn makes me laugh and the stepdaughter is hot.

Went to The Mule tonight. Was an entertaining movie of Clint Eastwood being racist. Would never watch again because it's a rather simple story with no action, but definitely worthwhile watching one time. 5.8/10
