I would go to Home Depot to get something to clean the stains off the carpet, but I don't know what to get, and I don't shop on Sundays.

Just rent one of those carpet shampoo machines. That's what I did before selling my last place to make sure they looked good for presentation.

Depends on the stain. Just go and tell them Blood--Pizza sauce-- whatever.

i was carrying a bowl of spaghetti in one hand and a glass of cherry kool-aid in the other, tripped on the carpet and severed an artery after landing on the broken glass. how do i clean that up again?

Next time, make sure you cut a vein instead. The blood pressure in veins are lower, so there won't be as much splatter.

An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.

I don't know.

Tinned salmon is basically our canned tuna, I guess. We do have canned salmon, but I think I only tried it once...

once.

You have malt vinegar in the US, right?
08-04-2021 , 05:42 PM
Yes, we have malt vinegar and a hundred other varieties. We also have farmed salmon which bears no relationship to the wild fish I ate when I was young.
08-04-2021 , 06:04 PM
Well you put malt vinegar in tinned salmon, wild or farmed, and that's what I ate when I was young.

One thing that does worry me about Americans that they will devote an entire lane of the supermarket to pickles, and they are all gherkins. Other vegetables are available, onions and cauliflower come to mind

This wasn't always the case but it is becoming more true every season.

You might enjoy a trip to Tokyo for a saunter around a grocery store. To the best of my knowledge there is nothing in the world that the Japanese haven't learned how to pickle.

Although I'm not allergic to Tide, I'd guess breathing it straight in is generally not recommended. Psychologically, it's much worse because snot starts dripping into my lip, and heaven forbid I sneeze in public.

Nope, I’ve decided to learn about rifles and guns though so I can defend myself.
Also I want to hunt some birds in Oregon and Montana.

My apartment refuses to fix my electricity. I have no functioning lights, save a lamp and the refrigerator. Now some outlets stopped working. I reset all of the breakers except the 240s (which goes to the fridge and dishwasher).

I contacted the management multiple times, who continuously ignores my phone calls, then called their leasing office, no response, maintenance closes my tickets as "fixed" because the dude believes the issue is caused by me (it's not). I called corporate and left a message, no response.

I called the bank and did a chargeback on my rent. It's the only way I know to send the message at this point.
