You're stuck in one decade for eternity where the only Movies,TV and Music you have access to is from that decade, which decade do you choose and why
so its the beginning of the decade to ***9 e.g 1980 - 1989
I gotta go with the 80s
Movies
the lost boys
Die Hard
Scarface
Airplane!
Midnight Run
Full Metal Jacket
Police Story (jackie Chan)
Back to the Future
I havnt even scratched the surface..................
Music
Too many to list
TV
The A-Team
Miami Vice
The wonder years
Marrie with children
knight rider
Murder she wrote
Cagney and Lacey
Magnum P.I
Dukes of Hazard
Happy Days
so many more.....
great thread idea. but they're all different. Movies might be the 90s, but music the 50s. and what if literature was the 1880s? I'll have to think some more...
I have to go with the 80s I think. Was also born in 80, so that might have something to do with it. I get access to a bunch of classic rock, which is what I listen to anyways.
TV is a little bit lackluster. I feel a lot of TV simply has not aged especially well. Sure, the Dukes of Hazard, Airwolf, Knight Rider, and A-Team were awesome for their team but I don't think they stand up to rewatching.
How do the rules work for TV? If a show came out in the 80s, can I watch all of it? Getting no conclusion to The Wonder Years kind of sucks. It seems "fair" to let you have access to those final seasons, even though they were in the early 90s. Or is it just off limits entirely because its not entirely an 80s show?
The TV might be a little better than I thought, after looking all the options. 21 Jump Street, Magnum P.I., Simon and Simon, Night Court, CHEERS. Wow, how did I forget about Cheers? Hell, the cartoons aren't too bad. Ducktales, Muppet Babies, the DnD cartoon.
For movies, bunch of stuff in various genres. Comedies-Airplane, Porkies, Ferris Buehler's Day Off, Caddyshack, Coming to America, Blues Brothers Action-THREE Indiana Jones movies, some amount of Lethal Weapons, Bloodsport, Kickboxer, some Jackie Chan stuff, Horror-Evil Dead, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Thing,
Yeah, this is a really easy pick for me. I feel TV has gotten better, movies have gotten a bit worse, and music has gotten worse.
Bump. Still working on this. I wanted to go with the 30s, but it doesn't look like a go. I may have to pick the 60s, but am resisting it because it will complete my identity as a cliche. Plus, were any good books written in the 60s?
