Boxed set has everything thru Gaucho, def the way to go. You can start at the beginning, play it start to finish, sounds like one giant concept album.

Booklet has some hilarious negative reviews.

Been listening to a huge amount of The Dan these last couple of weeks. I've been doing a bunch of rearranging and organizing around the place and there is no better music to do this to!!!

The other night, Joe Jackson covered a "King of the World" and it was fantastic.

First time seeing this thread...huge Dan fan. Royal Scam is my absolute favorite album back to front, but songs are the following:

1. Josie
2. Aja
3. Sign In Stranger
4. Gold teeth

Not sure how anyone could say this band is not "intellectual" or "complicated". Some of their arrangements are the most intricate you can find out there and live they are pretty much unchallenged IMO (except maybe for Rush in their prime).

Just such a unique, clean, cool sound. Never miss them when they come around.

Royal Scam is also my favorite these days. My favorite overall songs, or a rough approximation on a given day anyway:

Underrated: Jack of Speed - easily the best track in the post 2000 period. Or at least the closest sounding to the their original vibe. (still not hitting the top 10 for me thought)
