Tomorrow Is Yesterday SEASON 1, EPISODE 19

When you hear Star Trek discussed in terms of "the one where...", this is "the one where they go back in time...no not that one, the other one..."
Not a fan of this one. You go no lead-in at all to explain the Enterprise in 1969, and the fact they used the contemporary time setting makes this episode feels very dated compared to the others. It's feels a little dull and lacks tension. The bits where they are trying to grill Kirk, and he doesn't give a ****, have no drama whatsoever. And the comedy reaction of the guard when he ends up on the Enterprise aren't funny. And where did he get that uniform, from the Man From Uncle wardrobe department?
Also, Spock pretty much works out time travel and then it's never mentioned much again. Are you kidding me?
Apparently intended to be the second part of a two-parter with "The Naked Time", but they changed the production order, which explains the odd end to that episode about time-warps.
It's not bad, but it's flat and feels like the sort of coasting episode you get 2 or 3 before the end of a really long season.
The reworked SF look terrific in this one, by the way.
