Dom i would recommend waiting at least half a year. If you still want it by the new year, then i'd say go ahead and get it. Just skimming this thread my concern is that the idea is a bit impulsive, and instead of vacillating on the details of a tattoo, youve been debaing which tattoo to get. Each tattoo i got i waited over a year to get just to make sure it was something i wanted for a very long time. I had other ideas too but after a short while lost interest in them and glad i never got them as tattoos. Just my opinion

There was a clothing thread a while back where Dom claimed to buy new underwear for every day. Some people thought it was a bit outrageous but most people thought it was feasible. Finally after it had festered for a while Dom popped back into the thread and claimed it was all a big joke. For some reason, I keep hoping the same thing will happen here...
I think the way you are taking time to make sure the phrase is meaningful and the font good looking is the correct thing to do.
Heck, I have wanted to to something on my other shoulder for quite a while but just have not found the one thing that really grabbed me. I was even in the tattoo shop a long while back ready to get one and just didn't feel it once I got there so I walked out and am still deciding. That was about 18 years ago. I am seriously thinking about trying to talk the whole family into doing a "Family tattoo where we all get the some one. You know, the family that inks together stays together sort of thing, LOL! I am actually pretty sure they all would and that I would be the biggest slacker in the bunch.

Dom - I was played poker last night and a woman at the table had "Isn't it pretty to think so?" tatted around her left bicep. Maybe this is common in some groups, but not at the poker tables I inhabit.
