that cappuccino and little pastry probably cost you half a days wages in italy.

nice pictures of churches and cement though and of course you had to ruin the show by sticking your mug in it.

but it saves me having to google sicily if i wanted to see it.

The coffee and pastries were very reasonably priced even in the sit down places. The best coffee I purchased was at one of the numerous outside stalls, a cappuccino was about one US Dollar (80 Euro cents). By the way, at this one anyway, there was no price list. So you asked each time how much it cost. I got to know the Barista as I went there almost every day with my friends. You stand at the counter under the protective roof and sip your coffee with all of the Sicilian Mobsters getting a quick pick-me-up before heading to work.

And since you mentioned my Mug, I will stick in a few more at the end for your enjoyment. Just for you Mr. Zee:

You should have stopped at the one with the scarf if you are pimping the millennial hipster look...

Noted. Next time I'll make an effort to be more circumspect. Depending on the audience of course.

That's reassuring news. Maybe there's hope left for what remains of Europe. Great photos and trip report, Zeno! I haven't been over there since an Amsterdam trip in 07, might have to try it again soon.
