I don't know exactly what to say. My daughter is 16, almost 17, and thinks she is 21, like all kids that age. Boys seem to like her. This just drives me crazy because I am a dad. Combine this with her school being over 40 miles away (down a road featuring one major construction zone which actually scared the crap out of me driving through it last night after dark and about ten zillion deer/elk/antelope, not to mention that in parts which are still paved are horrible) and her working two jobs there and wanting to hang out with her friends more than stay at home. You throw all this together and instead of a delightful stew you get lots of "so and so did/said this" and "I need to find a place to stay for the night since I shouldn't be coming home down that road so late after work, Oh, it should be OK if I stay with my 19 YO boyfriend right?" Granted the boy she is dating seems like a pretty nice kid but for gosh sake! 
I love my daughter with all my heart but I will be glad to get through this next couple of years to where she really is an adult and it's her own life a little more than it is now. That really didn't sound that good, but hopefully you know what I mean.

Gotta agree here. I've seen no convincing argument that this is really the best course of action. I've seen reasonable arguments that this will prevent an immediate downturn and credit crunch, but not that this will necessarily prevent this in the somewhat longer term, nor that we're not ****ing ourselves over in all kinds of new and interesting ways.
