Here's something that's been bugging me recently. People who put political stuff on their Facebook status. You're not going to convince anyone from the other side to change their view in 10 words or less. You're not going to convince undecideds one way or the other in 10 words. All you're going to accomplish is alienating the casual acquaintances who hold strong views opposite of yours (Presumably your closer friends already know your views.) In most instances, you just look like an idiot (to those with opposing views) when all you're doing is repeating some canned internet meme about the candidates.

And to be clear, this applies to people on both sides of the aisle.

I hate when people put signs up in their yard telling people who they plan to vote for. No one gives a **** who you're voting for.

I remember candidates where I grew up would have their friends and family take trucks all over town and suburban neighborhoods to tear out the signs and posters of all the opposition.

It's funny how there's always some new way politics manages to give you the creeps.

I tried. I couldn't quit you Lounge. Plus I need something to do in the downtime of MTTs, and I'm trying to watch CHI vs. TB but remembering constantly why I hate baseball and thus never watch it.

I dislike pretty much anyone campaigning for politicians besides actual politicians. If a celebrity wants to say "Go out and get informed", then cool, but for actors and musicians and who the **** ever to think they're qualified to use their status to sway voters is just ******ed.

I remember in 04 when Bruce Springsteen and R.E.M. and a bunch of other bands went on some Vote Democrat tour, and it pissed me off so hard.

^ There is a thread with actors encouraging people not to vote (apparently they are think reverse psychology FTW) in OOT. I highly recommend the video for Jonah Hill's comments.

Bush is responsible for the needless deaths of hundreds of thousands of people because of his lies and the lies of his appointees, and even more than that if you ascribe to him the ensuing destabilization of the Middle East, the rise of ISIS, etc. Trump is corrupt to the core, and he is grossly incompetent, but his legacy is far better than Bush at this point.
