WOW. That was really fast. We have a new baby Wookie, and I didn't have a chance to liveblog a thing about it. MrsWookie's water broke at about 5:45, contractions started at about 6, and they were immediately the sort where you should head to the hospital. We packed up the car, scrambled to get childcare for Amelia, and I shoved some chicken in my face from the chicken we weren't going to get to enjoy. We dropped off Amelia on the way to the hospital, and by the time we got there, the contractions were so intense that MrsWookie could not stand to sit in a wheelchair. So, we shuffled and wailed our way to delivery, checked in between wails, and then shuffled down the hall to our delivery room. When we got there, all hands were on deck, because the first exam confirmed what most people there were expecting, that MrsWookie was fully dilated and it was time to push. Natural childbirth! No time for an epidural now. Needless to say, it was a lot more intense this time around. MrsWookie's OB couldn't even make it in time for birth, but he was there for the rest. MrsWookie is a tremendous trooper. Mom and baby doing fine so far. Delivered before 8, but I didn't catch the official time. 8 lbs 15 oz., 21 inches long.

Oh yeah, no name yet. MrsWookie was due a week from now, and we thought that even if baby came early, we'd have some time to sit around and talk about names like last time. Nope. So that is the top of agenda tonight.

Oh, wow, I have no pictures of here remarkably thick hair yet. They exist, but not on my phone. I guess I never posted any of Amelia's birth hair either. Amelia's hair was pretty substantial, but thinner and a reddish blonde. Josephine's is light brown with gold highlights and T H I C C.
