haha what's that a frog hat? Looks good!

I think we have a hoodie type thing for our baby's first trip home. maybe we should get her a little Phillies hat or something.

Wife bought all sorts of silly hats for him. He got his revenge yesterday during the "newborn" photoshoot she did yesterday, though. He pooped all over her during the naked baby shot. And I do mean all over her. She practically had to be hosed down.

My wife is due December 17, it's our first. I'd be interested, and am not sure if this is the appropriate forum, in others experience balancing poker with new fatherhood. Do you even have time any more?

After they go to bed, obviously. Gonna be fewer days for the first couple months though. And make sure your wife is on board.

I'm narcissistic...self-love is a relationship, right?

Kristy, how many months along are you? My wife looks much bigger, but she's 8 weeks away.

I still can't believe she's pregnant. Every time I see her I'm still shocked.

I'm not really down with the baby counting system...but according to What to Expect When You're Expecting I'm a few days shy of 7 months, You guys are about 5 weeks ahead of me.

Congrats to you both! Do you know what you're having?

We're having a girl. Her name is Cora.

My wife went through "gender dissapointment". She really wanted a boy, which I thought was silly at first then realized it was a serious thing with her. She's ok with it now.

A woman at work went through the same thing when her 2nd baby was a boy (she already had a boy). My wife declared she wanted to try again and whatever we get we'll live with. I'm ok with trying for another. We got pregnant on the first try, so I want to see if I can actually go 2-0, which would be hilarious.

I'm super-impressed by how well men take having a girl.

I was so worried when the nurse called to inform me that it was a girl. My partner is a huntin', fishin' manly man and I thought he'd be disappointed that the months of talking to Ryan Jr. were for naught...but he just made a seamless transition to talking to "his little princess", and actually seems somehow prouder...like he's the big protector of us all.

I definitely did not give future Daddies enough credit.

I'm fairly manly but I would love a daughter. One who brings bf's home to meet me and I'm there polishing my gun.

I somewhat wanted a boy, but I think families have more of a loving atmosphere with more women in them. I've been around families with mostly men, and dinner time is much more of a quiet eat-as-fast-and-as-much-as-you-can event, whereas with more women around it's a lot of laughter and talking.

I know we complain about that quite often, but it really is nice to have that environment. Besides.. I won't be around very long, so a daughter will help take care of my wife when I'm gone, as depressing as that sounds. Men get married and do their own thing.

Obviously a lot of stereotypes, but it really does seem to hold true.

Yeah.. I'm somewhat worried about this. I'm overly protective in general, I don't want to make my daughter miserable.

But I will.
