Here's one with his big sister who turned 1 Nov 30th.

We already have 1, an awesome 2.5 yr old girl, and we have one on the way in April of '12. We went to the doctor today to find out the sex and low and behold its girl #2 on the way. I can't say I'm disappointed, I'm not, but knowing it's not going to be a boy has now changed that man-man road trip in the future and will hopefully now become a daughter X2 and dad adventure.

Wife is pregnant with #1. Due around August 20.

Saw the heartbeat yesterday... wow. Pretty intense! I think we're about 7 weeks in. Was really special getting to tell my family at Christmas. When we were done opening gifts I said "there is one more" and grabbed the ultrasound and held it up. After a few seconds everyone realized what he hell it was and jumped up and hugged us. Scared and excited all at once. We've already been scoping out all the baby stores and just generally getting ready for our new world.

This thread slowed way down.

This thread has been going for so long. In a couple of weeks I take my little girl for her pre-K admissions "test" any advice from any of you?

So last week we went in for our second ultrasound at around 14 weeks, in the high risk prenatal section of the hospital, so consequently our tech was very experienced with multiples. She said everything looked great, and then brought up gender in passing (i.e. did we have a preference), and I mentioned that, coming from a long line of single sons, I just wanted one boy to keep my awesome family line going. Then she told us we were having two boys -- I had to fight off the urge to fist pump.

She hedged her bets when she told us at first, but I asked her on the way out how confident she was and she said "I'm not wrong." I had heard that some people find out that early, but I never really expected to find anything out at that visit. Awesome news!

Today Tycho is six months old!

He weighs 24lbs, 11oz, and he's 27.75 inches long. That puts him in the 99.94 percentile for weight by the way:

He has one tooth and he can sit up like nobody's business. So awesome.

Been giving some thought to how I would ideally like to space out my family. (formerly greear10) on here.

I am about to be 25 in a few days and my kids are 14 months(girl)/ 2 months(boy)

I think I want a largish family, 4 or 5 kids. Obviously you don't always get what you want and planning on when you will have kids comes with insane variance. We thought it would take a year or so to get pregnant with baby #2 and it binked on the 1st try.

I think I want to give it a break for ~3 years then give it another try. I don't think I would want to have a kid at all after im 35+, so that leaves 10 years to space out 2 or 3 more kids. Anyone else done any longterm planning about this stuff, even just in your own head?

Congrats to all the new posters who are expecting! Hope to see some new pics soon.

Went in for our 10 week checkup and weren't able to hear heartbeat but we saw it again so all looks good. Baby was moving around a lot, looked like he or she was swimming or dancing lol. Saw the arms and legs and head moving around like crazy - wild stuff! Then it got tired and whacked out.

Wife has had no morning sickness at all. Pretty glad for that.

Heh, hoping for a healthy baby! Seriously I will be stoked no matter if it's a girl or boy. Your daughter is adorable btw. Can't believe they have that much character by age 1. Can't wait.

Heartbeat thing was a nervous 5 minutes. A friend just lost his baby between week 6 and 10 checkups when they didn't see or hear the heart beating and they noted no growth. And my wife's mom lost a baby days after it being born 5 months premature. And my wife has mitro valve prolapse which is a heart condition so any snafus especially related to the heart will make me nervous.

When you see your kid moving around with arms and legs it makes you feel like you're already a dad which is cool!

+1 to the nerves. After I found out we were having twins (around 8 weeks) I read way too much about vanishing twin and freaked myself out. I was so relieved when they were both there last week.

I was also really surprised to find out the gender so early, anyone else find out at 13 weeks like my wife and I?

Waited until 18 weeks to find out with both of mine. Didn't want to find out at all with my 2nd one, but I lost a bet.

Wife went in for her weekly checkup last Thursday and the Dr said the baby felt strange. She went for an ultrasound yesterday and they found out it's breech so they scheduled her for a C-section this Friday. Called back today and said they had screwed up and our Friday time was no longer available. Rescheduled for tomorrow afternoon. *bites nails*
