Congrats! Wow, you didn't waste any time!

Parenting is awesome, even on the days when it sucks. It has to be one of the most rewarding life activities.

It does take work to not let your relationship get lost in the haze of trying to raise your kids. Both parties have to be committed to making it a priority. Your kids will move out someday, but hopefully your mate will still be there.

I'll testify that there's still a lot of fun to be had in the empty nest!

Yes, I did throw in a gratuitous grandbaby picture. Her b-day party. She'll officially be one on Friday, so look for more grandma spam.

I know we generally just have new born babies and such here I felt a need to update since it was her baptism over the weekend. Shes now 2 (yes its a bit late) but anyway here it is

Oh, and by the way...I was called out of town for four days until yesterday.

As a new father, I had no idea how profound the separation was going to be. I was jonesing the entire time I was gone. It was really surprising.
