Does my wife get a prize for biggest baby on 2+2? Maybe those with twins with bigger combined weights will complain, though.

My condolences to plaster8.

My wife was pissed I had her ride 12 hours spread over 3 different days at something like 26 weeks, plus plane rides. Good thing no baby!

Thanks, TomCollins and dcasper. It's been a rough couple of months, obviously, especially because we still don't know exactly what happened. Avery passed away just 3 1/2 hours after she was born.

That said, it's still fun to check in on this thread and see how things are going. Congrats, everyone! Very exciting times.

My wife thought this, then had one, and quickly changed her mind.

Never realised there was this post. My boy was born 26 July 2009, born just over 4lbs, cant believe how small he was.

We never found out he sex, so was really exciting waiting for birth. EVERYONE was saying its a call "Oh your carrying like this or that bump means this" i was like "ok...."

The day my Mrs went into labour i will never forget, i couldnt stop laughing. She was making funny noises lol! Not usual huff puff and grunt :P

So like 12am, time to go to hospital, we are there for a few hours and its going slow. Only dialated 1cm or something after the water breaking and 4 hours.

We are told to call the hospital if nothing has happened at xxpm and thats the case.

The hospital we originally used only does normal labour, anything else and you go to the main city hospital. That was closed as not enough midwifes etc (Unbeliveable)

So we drive 12 miles to the next. Get inside and there full, so off we go another 15 miles and we get in (Glad acutaly, hospital was quite, all the nursing staff looked like models and were nice people).

Get there, doc has a look and a feel (Emerg C Section!)

After all the drugs and **** im in the room with her, ***** freezing! I remember she was getting ragged around, then i hear "The father wants to tell her the sex"

So i have a look, all i could see with these big pair of balls between his legs lol. I said it was a boy and we both had a few tears.

Minute goes by, cant hear him cry so we ask and they say he's not breathing etc, but 15 secs later we hear him cry.

Tiny little boy, just over 4lbs i was scarred i would crush him. Due to the time, and Mrs dopped up on drugs i only had an hour with mum and baby and had to go.

Next day, im up the hospital first thing. Docs there asking if hes done a number 2 yet, goes to move the nappy and sticks his finger straight in it (Im sure you can all remember you baby first few poo's. Nasty thick black like tar)

Family comes up etc. Go home, get a call at 4am something wrong with baby. Being a good few miles away and i cant go up i dont know what to think.

Get up there and he turned blue/grey from lack of o2. So hes in an incubator, he ends up being in ICU for 3 weeks, then a few days in HDU.

Worst thing was i finally got over it and i go to say good bye and there putting another machine on him ffs... SiPap, helps him to breath as he was so tired from using his whole body to breathe he was struggling, also he o2 was still low.

After all that, turns out they cant work out why he so small but full term. Give us all this crap that he might have genetic problems. But after 1 1/2 weeks we find out he had a lung infection from swolling some fluid.

About 6 months later we notice hes got an odd ear and head shape and wont look to the right, we get phyiso for his neck, heis head is flat because in the cot he can only sleep one way.

15 months old now, he has caught up on weight and height to average baby his age, his head is smaller the average and we are waiting on a CT scan (Was due wednesday but he has chickenpox so cant go) to check his skull allthough xray ok (Make sure suitures and not fused early)

All other tests have come back fine and he is developing normall!

Pics 1-3 with 3 being most recent

New car

Loves food

14 months old still loves food

Nice ride he's got there. Glad he's doing okay. My son had torticollis (sic) also (the looking one way thing). Doing well now, though. Probably need to post another pic soon. He turned 1 last week and his party is Saturday so maybe a Cake smash. Tune in Monday, IMO.

My wife is due the first week in April. We just found out on wednesday it's going to be a boy. Thinking about naming him Jack.
My wife was really sick the first three months (hyperemesis), anyone out there have a similar experience?

We were looking at older photos and video of our 2 year old last night, we used to think he was really cute then, but now looking back, not so much

We do think he's really cute now though. Especially compared to when he was a few months old.

Guess we get blinded by love

We had a call from the Hospital today, CT scan is back on wednesday as he's finished his medication and chicken is 90% cleared, just a few scabs left. So, up at 5am, get ready and leave at 5:45am. Poor bugger cant have any food or drink, not even milk untill after he wakes up. We have to be there on the ward at 7am, hoping be 8:30am he will be under, then scan. They reckon 4 hours he will sleep. He will be starving after

again, bathing him in water + 1/2 cup of oats worked wonders, before we did it he wouldnt sleep more then 45 mins a time. Soon as we added oats, he slept like a log again!
