Don't agree. First of all JA's character is a waitress who sees her own boss every second of every day and clearly knows very little about corporate America. Second, admittedly it's been a long time since I've seen the movie but I seem to remember that by that point RL's character and JA's character were awfully close and therefore JA's character would know he sees his boss every day. Third, RL's character was upset but JA's was just confused. As soon as the "He's my unholy pig of a boss" line was uttered, JA's character's natural reaction would have been to say, "Ron Lumberg is your boss?!?!?"
I still say it's a plot hole.
